found a video showing it in motion.
This is original STO game footage of the old model, so detailing and texture is not up to new standards.
But still giving a good sense of which angles look nice.

It's the motion blur on the frame.
Here is a shot of the model without blur.

Ahhhh, okay. Motion blur it is. I really thought they were really badly done SNW-style saucer windows.

If I had to pin it down, I think it's the necks and the pylons/nacelles. The two necks are dumb and make that whole section of the ship look bulbous and weird. The Nacelles on the other hand are too small and are oddly shaped while the pylons look weak and flimsy when everything else is so chunky. Throws off the entire balance of the ship.

I remember the contest that thing came out of and I found the ship I wish had won, back in the day. Seeing it again, after all these years, I still feel it would have made a far better Enterprise-F, with a few refinements.

I quite like that design! Very cool! Not a bad Kelvin refit concept, but it's an absolutely nonsensical F, following zero of the design lineage. I don't care for the Odyssey, but it's at least in the ballpark of the visual language of the established design lineage.

That could still be a G or H, going towards the J. Bigger and flatter.

yeah, the double, open ended neck does the design no favors.

The nacelles are almost too skinny. The design of them is fine I think but they would look better wider and if they didn’t taper off so much.

It's actually a blend of the Endeavor class that came with the Star Trek Armada update patch and the Odyssey class. So far the new design is still going to be call Odyssey class.

Since Sovereign class ships are still in service as of Picard Season 2, it's highly unlikely the Enterprise-E was decomissioned. Therefore we have to assume it was destroyed before its time. Considering the early destructions of ships C, D, and now E, Starfleet officers should be shuddering upon being assigned to a ship called Enterprise...

Just realised, the B was destroyed as well by that logic. After all, plenty of Excelsiors going around in the TNG era...

Perhaps the ship was decommissioned because a new larger class needed to be designated the fleet's flagship? The Enterprise-D was prematurely decommissioned in the anti-time future AGT, perhaps for the same reason.

If the Romulans had just waited until after Tuesday, when the B's duotronic sensor array would've been upgraded to an isolinear one, to start the Tomed Incident, the Enterprise-B would have survived.

Uh no it isn't. It is STO's Odyssey Class straight up. Confirmed by the STO artist who revamped the model and the Visual Effects supervisor who put the model into the show. It's not a blend of anything.

Armada also has no such class as the "Endeavor Class".

Why do you always come into threads and make shit up like this? Stop spreading lies.

Luna Class ships are still in service but the Luna Class USS Titan wasn't destroyed, just retired.

Just because Sovereign or Luna class ships are still in service doesn’t mean that individual ships didn’t have wear & tear that led to earlier retirement. Who knows, the damage we saw to the Enterprise E in the movies may have caused significant problems later in her life.

Voyager was retired after returning if you go by the background info but that doesn’t mean the entire Intrepid class was retired.

Cool ship. I flew it around about ten years ago, even called mine Enterprise too. :bolian:

No I didn't lie. I just mistaken one ship for another. It might been the Excalibur class I been thinking about? There is a patch for that ship in the Armada Files website. There doesn't mean there wasn't a patch of the Endeavor class for the Armada games. It been awhile and most websites that had patches for Star Trek Armada had shut down. Those that's still around, some of their patches made have got deleted. There is a patch of the Endeavor class for Armada 2, but that is for TOS. While I was there looking around. I notice three patches for the Luna class. Two in 2006 and one in 2008.
There is a Endeavor class that anyone can use in Star Trek Online. It's base on the same design as the Odyssey class.

The Enterprise-F looks like it was designed by that "kid" we all knew at one point...

"Yeah, my Enterprise is twice as big as your Enterprise! And it has Super Mega Phasers, and 27 Quantum Torpedo tubes, and it can go warp 9.9999999999 with multi vector attack mode! And my dad could beat up your dad"!
...and where did they release any specs? :p
all we got is a blurry fast half fly-by. nothing else.

I think this is a simple case of language barriers and confusing mods with patches, and opinions with facts, without bad intentions, or something similarly harmless.
