Spoilers She-Hulk: Attorney at Law discussion thread

It makes sense to me. At her age and income bracket combined with high standards in a mate many of the men she would be interested in will likely already be dating someone else or married. PLus she has a high profile job and has to work may hours so it's not like she would in theory have much of a social life.

Her Tinder Dates were the worst.

We don't know the dating policy for her workplace, but she hasn't taken a good look at the available boys in the office, to find out how dim her prospects might be.

Steve Rogers.

Would she hump 90 year old Steve Rogers as he is now: 90 Years old?

Jayson presuming "High standards" is on the way to INCEL thinking.

Did you see her tinder dates?

It's like she went into the red flag store to buy a sex toy.

Yes, yes...

A one night fling is not the same as boyfriend material.

Well she did say looks matter even if they shouldn't. Also in society rich people tend to date other rich people and poor people date poor. While lots of the old racial and gender norms have broken down lots of human relationships still fall in line with class and status and looks.

Well, if you ignore the hum in your trousers, all that is true.

I'm caught up and I'm really liking the series. The problem for me is that I have an easier time believing how much more realistic it is that Jen can turn into She-Hulk than I can that Jen, as cute, funny, intelligent, witty, and kind as she is somehow can't find a steady love. Seriously?
See, I have no problem believing that, which probably says more about my outlook on life and love than anything else.

Three episodes in I'm still super conflicted about this show.

In some cases it's awesome commentary on the absurdity of the MCU. It's just so glib and full of itself. It's expressing ideas I totally agree with in ways I hate. Like it's constantly congratulating itself for teaching me things.

I wasn't expecting such a light episode. I thought the stuff at Emil's retreat was nicely funny and unexpectedly sweet but I'm curious where the show is going to go for the next two episodes trying to do something satisfying with the subplots they've been brewing.

I suspect we will get more light episodes and then in the finale, we will get the big reveal of an evil Hulk that was made with Jen's blood and She-Hulk and the evil Hulk will fight it out. Of course, She-Hulk will win the fight and be a hero.

I wonder why Jen didn't ask about the attack, what did they think they were doing. Clearly, she didn't find out they were trying to get her blood from him. I did notice Blonsky caught on to Jen's surprise quickly. Can't imagine why unless he knew Wrecker had attacked Jen. Also, what contact info to josh she had, they got her to delete it. On the other hand, it could be nothing.

Wow, that was a roller coaster of emotions and as a result, probably the best episode yet. I really felt the awkwardness of Jen's dates with Josh (since I'm going through that right now), up to the point Josh ghosted her.

I didn't think much would come out of the unexpected forced visit and stay at Blonsky's retreat or even the genuineness of it (I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop), but I loved the emotional catharsis it eventually gave Jen to feel confident about herself and deal with her conflicted feelings about She-Hulk.

...just a damn shame that Josh was just using her this whole time to get phone data and whatever else from her. That really fucking sucks.

I did find it weird Jen didn't follow up on the attack other than directly facing the issue of the actual attack. Perhaps she forgot they tried to get blood from her or maybe even didn't suss onto that fact because it happened so quickly?

I want to believe the genuineness Blonksy's reformation. But at the same time, it is a bit of a coincidence that his tracker broke down while one of the Wrecking Crew guys was on site and this all happened just a few days after everything Josh.

From the emojis he texted while Jen was passed out/asleep, it looks like Josh got a blood sample.
Yeah, that's what I initially noted (well, DNA samples) but changed it because we didn't actually see him do anything beyond the phone scan and photo. You're probably right that's what he did but we didn't see him carry anything else with him.

There's was a guy with horns, a sword, a vampire and a porcupine...it seemed like a question of just who was going to get blood. :)

Well...yes. I just figured all of that, especially the vampire, was a little too on the nose for them actually wanting Jen's blood.

Or maybe it's just right amount on the nose since this is a very silly show. That's why I love it.
