Spoilers She-Hulk: Attorney at Law discussion thread

Am I the only one that would be more interested if the person they teased was Squirrel Girl instead?
FFS, this is a She-Hulk show, not a Daredevil show! :guffaw:
Yeah, anyone just holding out for Murdock to show up is going to be sorely disappointed. I mean sure, having Matt back is great, but it's just a cameo, and it's a cameo on She-Hulk. It's going to be a She-Hulky cameo, with all which that entails!

Well Squirrel Girl is a member of the Great Lakes Avengers, as is Mr Immortal.

At this rate they are not going to have the full team till the end of season 2.

I hope they make a meta joke about it when he does show up. Like Jen looking into the camera and saying "Yes, the moment many of you were hoping for."

As great as the show seems lets not jump the gun. We only have seen 3 episodes. With that said if the quality sticks up I think a good way to compare this show with The Mandalorian is they are simply great in different ways but neither takes away from the other. It's like saying Firefly or Star Trek are not great shows because of Battlestar Galatica and The Expanse. Sopranos is inferior to Seinfeld because it's not as funny. Greatness has many different shades.
are you in the right thread? she-hulk has had 6 episodes.

I've been following who has been writing and directing the various episodes and trying to see if the differences are noticeable. The next two episodes will be the first written by guys, also ones with both comic book and comedy experience, so I'm curious. That might be a signal of things ramping up perhaps getting people with work in comic action.

My only issue with the show is the supporting cast just isn't that interesting. The guest characters like Wong have been more interesting than any of them. Tatiana Maslany is carrying this show big time. If they come back next season dump everyone except She Hulk. Hire Madison as receptionist or something and then add a few other characters that are quirky and funny.

^ Yeah I'd agree with that, none of the regulars are that memorable. (outside of Tatiana who's wonderful of course)

I like Nikki and Mallory a lot but I think that's more due to the strength of the performances than the depth of the writing.

But you know what, for a half-hour comedy that's deliberately focused on the titular lead and not an ensemble cast (as oppose to, say, Frasier which was always suppose to be about more than just the titular lead), I'm fine with that.

I guess the more obvious parallel would be how Ally McBeal focused on its cast but I never watched that show so I only know what I saw from commercials.

I actually watched Ally McBeal for the first time recently and just finished a month ago. The show was really good. Also the supporting cast was great. Fish and John Cage and Elaine were especially my favorites. This show while good is not close to being as good as Ally McBeal but it could even be better with a better supporting cast because you would think with Superhero clients you could do all sorts of weird court cases. Heck you got even talk of Howard the Duck on the show. He could be hired to investigate clients.

I'm caught up and I'm really liking the series. The problem for me is that I have an easier time believing how much more realistic it is that Jen can turn into She-Hulk than I can that Jen, as cute, funny, intelligent, witty, and kind as she is somehow can't find a steady love. Seriously?
