I've heard of some of them. YouTube used to always recommend me their videos just because I like Marvel/Star Wars etc, until I had to manually tell them each time to stop recommending their crap channels (I hate The Critical Drinker so much)

But I just googled those names, didn't watch any of the vids but I did look at the thumbnails for their most recent videos. Oh god they're soooooo cringe worthy  Say you're a complete loser without saying you're a complete loser.
I mean I know why they do it- negativity sells. Because it invites far more comments, views and discussion (from a lot of gullible idiots it would seem) and that's how they get their money.

But man, the OTT of it all in those headlines  Hollywood is desperate to remake Game of Thrones already apparently? .. ok.. sure..

Also are these "female shows" a new thing? I grew up with Voyager, Buffy and Xena etc. Or do they not count I guess as you say, seen as they were mostly created by men?

Reminds me of a meme circulating around the time Jodie Whittaker was cast as the Doctor which showed an image of Janeway with the caption "I don't know why everyone's shocked by a female Doctor. Star Trek introduced a female Captain 22 years ago."

But yeah, there does seem to be an odd disconnect with the complainers whining about the "wokeness" of TV shows with female leads today being completely okay with shows with female leads from the past. We've seen a similar thing with movies in recent years, with all the complaints about the female dominated Ghostbusters or most of the new Star Wars movies having female leads, yet these very same complainers are okay with action movies of the past which had female leads, like the Alien movies or the first two Terminator movies. It's bizarre, especially since the lasting success of such shows or movies has undoubtedly been a factor in why studios are comfortable with female leads in their action shows or movies today, but apparently double standards still need to be a thing.

There has been a big change from the 80/early 90s and today - that's almost 40 years of social development.

Ripley was the exception, after that there was a long draught of blockbuster movies with a female lead. This has changed in the last few years, the ratio has begun to increase and that threatens the fragile male ego of some who can't identify with a strong female and need their Schwarzeneggers, Stallons, Stathams and Johnsons ( pun halfway intended).

We can see this in all of society, not just entertainment - whenever women threaten to even approach equality ( same power and money) men get all anxious and aggressively defensive ( or offensive).

Strangely enough i also see some women who have problems with it and i have one such in my circle of friends, who can never really explain why she doesn't like the "woke" new Marvel shows/movies yet is a die hard fan of most other ( male) led Marvel movies and shows. Go figure.

What amazes me is that after a hundred years of the male hero saving the woman (even the "strong" women), people now get upset that a woman saves a man--or can be better than a man at something.

For what it's worth, speaking as a guy, I've often found that trope to be highly silly. It's one reason I enjoyed how Ralph Breaks the Internet made fun of it.

I'm not amazed - i fully expected it. Change is hard and those who believe they'll lose out in the change fight against it the hardest.

I loved all the scenes with the princesses in that movie.

Without fail, they spread hate every week, whether its The Critical Drinker referring to "the message" (his chart targeting any content even including black people/subjects, women, et al.,) or Nerdrotic claiming every film or TV series he finds socially/politically objectionable a "disaster", it goes on and on, and as usual, they're predicting doom for any production that does not elevate or mirror their oft-referred to (in script and/or footage) cartoonish male action heroes from 1980s movies, as if that decade was overflowing with solid creations, that stood the test of time.

Their screaming about "female shows" shines a light on their ignorance of history, since they believe until this "woke" era, there were no dramatic and/or action series with female headliners...nevermind Honey West, the first female detective series (ABC, 1965), or Police Woman (NBC, 1974-78), and on and on. Nope, its all about their slobbering over the heroes of Die Hard, Rambo, Commando, Rocky, The Terminator (yeah, think about who they recognize as a hero in that one), Predator, Back to the Future, etc. Anything deviating from those cultural influences and its a "disaster".

I like the show so far. The only thing that confused me was the appearance of the Sakaar ship that caused the accident yet we never saw them again. Why were they there? Were they after the Hulk?

Well it was only the first episode. There is a chance we will see them again.

Bruce said he was going to try to get to the bottom of why the aliens were trying to contact the Hulk. So, yeah, it seems possible, if not probable, that it will be followed-up on.

It was obvious to me from the first minute that Jen was telling her own story here, so it is obviously from a female perspective, as well as her own personal perspective. I'm sure if Bruce were telling the story it would have a different slant to it.

I don't have a problem with that. It was just neither serious nor funny.

That's an interesting perspective. Lotta evidence in favor of it, none against it as far as I can see.

I'm wondering if it's setting up the reveal of Hulk's son, Skaar. In the comics Hulk had a kid during his time on Sakaar.

I've seen that speculation somewhere else. Makes a lot of sense.

It might make more of Captain America Fu- than a funny joke, setting up the reveal of Bruce's son somewhere down the road. That spacecraft came down for a reason. On this show, it's likely going to be a court order for child support revealed in one of the end credits.

On a similar note, I loved the female superhero team-up scene during the Big Battle at the end of Avengers Endgame. The scene itself was great, and I also loved that it made so many Man-Babies cry.

Maybe not in She Hulk but it's definitely set up for something, maybe even Planet Hulk much further down the line. We may see a few scenes about it in She Hulk to keep us guessing but the focus is on She Hulk and not Bruce.

It would be interesting to see a WWHulk with Skaar rather than Banner.

That would make more sense for where the MCU Hulk is at right now. Comic Hulk was on a vendetta, which just makes no sense here and now. An abandoned son on the other hand, would have a more logical motivation.
As an added bonus they've already established that time works differently on Sakaar thanks to all the wormholes, so they can seriously age him up too. Indeed, Hulk was only there for 2 subjective years, so we don't know how much time he actually experienced, never mind how much has passed in the 5+ subjective years since he left.
