The land fall scale was enlarged for dramatic effect, imo. The scene of it being towed made more sense, it appeared as smaller size compared to the Enterprise.
There wasn't a forward lounge on the Enterprise until recently! The exterior model also has some differences as I pointed out last page. Saucer windows are more spaced out and go further around, and no forward lounge.
When Captain Batel's ship went unnamed in the premiere it made me think we'd see her in command of the Reliant at some point in the season.. Maybe I was right? Please be NCC-1864
Where did Sutherland come from?Maybe... its a young Captain Kirk.. in the USS Sutherland.. or USS Saladin... oooohh.. there's a thought!
Vonda McIntyre's original Trek novels, I believe.Where did Sutherland come from?
Thanks for the heads up! I just snagged one for myself. For anyone interested, Eaglemoss looks to have the SNW Enterprise on sale for $13.75 (US).

WellI don't think that "Miranda" type ship is the Reliant. It seems to blow up at about the 30 second mark in the trailer.
Well
I think most of the episode is going to be an illusion/alt-future where Pike decides to prevent the accident.
"Imbalance of Terror"?I can see how that might work, but if so, who do all those other blocky looking ships belong to? they don't remind me of anything in "Balance of Terror".
