Are you serious? Trans people are totally hip and everyone feels cool about them, especially in the media! Unless you are from a not so liberal country, I guess.
Yep. Nothing "in your face" about it's LGBTQ+ representation. It's just people.
Even Stamets and Culber are shown just kissing and in bed together and that's not in every episode where both appear. It's hardly in anyone's face.

What exactly is in your face about and the LBGTQ+ characters on the show? They're no more in your face than the straight ones.
Pike in the first seven episodes of SNW has probably gotten more action than Stamets and Culber have had onscreen in 55 episodes of DSC.
But, I won't let that diminish my view of him.
He's seeming pretty irresistible to Canadian actresses at any rate.
Like I said, it's all about subtlety ... which the new Trek shows just don't have. They should take notes from The Orville, where such things are being handled in a much better way.
