Are you serious? Trans people are totally hip and everyone feels cool about them, especially in the media! Unless you are from a not so liberal country, I guess.

Umm... What?

I mean, I guess, in some ways Trans people are more accepted than they were 10 years ago but at the same time as them being more acknowledged and accepted they're also being focused on more by Conservative/Religous groups trying to suppress them and restrict rheir acceptance. I mean just a few years ago it was a big issue that they wanted to be able to use the bathroom of their choice.

The very fact that you're all twisted up because LGBTQ+ people are being acknowledged more in TV/movies is proof that the progress being made still has a long, long, LONG way to go.

Bigotry is not permitted in this forum. Calling out and opposing bigotry for what it is on the other hand, is both permitted and a moral and ethical responsibility for reasonable people.

And you are the one who ultimately decides what is bigotry and what is not? People may have different opinions about moral and ethical responsibility, and I don't think you are qualified to judge them.

It's pathetic.
Yes, you are.

If existence is in your face and an agenda then we're all in trouble.
It's the driving force behind the wave of bigotry directed at LGBTQ people and trans people in particular. Rather than learn to live with other people they've rather force LGBTQ to be hidden from view forever. They want a fantasy world where LGBTQ people don't exist.

Would you please stop putting words into my mouth that I have never said!
Then stop dancing around what you mean by calling the mere existence of LGBTQ people "in your face". It's obvious to everyone else because you aren't the first person to say it here.

Oh well ... purposefully misunderstanding someone with a different opinion is a common tactic. Calling everyone who is not 100 % with you racist/sexist/bigot/antisomething is telling a lot, and I won't waste any more time on that conversation.

Good health, strong body, clear mind!

Wait, I thought you were "Okay with trans people" (while your other remarks said the complete opposite)? Now their existence is not moral and ethical? You're saying the quiet part out loud.

I'm as qualified to judge you as any other person is qualified to judge bigotry. Were you not judging the existence and appearance of non-binary and trans people in Trek? What qualifies you? Any special credentials on LGBTQ representation in entertainment or science fiction? LGBTQ studies? Streaming television production? Everyone has seen or heard bigotry of some kind before. Have you ever actually met and interacted with several LGBTQ people before? Are you as dismissive and demeaning to them in person as you are here or does the anonymity of the internet give you undeserved boldness to let your bigot flag fly?
Yes, you are.
You see, I was describing your behavior in this thread as pathetic, while you, in your third predictable "I am rubber, you are glue" response, which I'm beginning to think is the only rhetorical trick you've got up your sleeve, are just talking about me personally.
