I'm mildly dubious that this will be the case. There seems to be a lot of things maybe pointing towards a non-reset return trip. Giving Seven her implants back, making sure that Picard was still a robit, JuratiQueen flying off into the sunset, Elnor 2.0...I just wonder why they'd necessarily bother with some of this stuff if there's gonna be a finger-snap and a flash of light in the finale. I could be (and very often am!) wrong of course. :)
If they wanted to undo Picard being a synth this would have been the easiest way to do it. But they didn't...

I'll admit, I was hoping for Q to tell Picard, "And now, Pinocchio, it's time for you to become a real boy again." *SNAP!*

They didn't even have to do that. Confed Picard would have had an organic body, and Picard's mind transferred to that. Since they went through the trouble to assimilate Confed Seven, it's safe to assume now they're all going back in their confed bodies...

Yeah I know. And the only reason they did that is so as not to undo the synth thing. However controversial it may have been, they doubled down by clarifying that Confed Picard was a synth too.
Seems unlikely that the Confederation version would have signed up for the lack of superpowers or the 'age and die normally' parts that the Prime Picard got...

And this version would be so much funnier to boot. What was I thinking?

Presumably it's only the most rich and powerful who get the option of transferring into a Synth body in the Confederation, and the Confederation government probably imposes limits on what a Synth body so anyone doesn't get ideas of becoming immortal and usurping the government to make themselves Permanent President or something like that...

It doesn't matter what Confed Picard was (or wasn't). He was replaced by Federation Picard.

No, only his mind was. That's why Seven lost her Borg implants, she was in her counterpart's body, just like Picard.
They didn't "Sam Beckett" into the Confederation. Seven lost her implants because Annika didn't have implants. Q took care of the details.

If that was the case they wouldn't have needed Q to point out that Confederation Picard was also synth. They would have instead had Q tell Picard he was still in his own body.

Their bodies were changed by the Time RewriteTM.

So its their bodies, just their rewritten versions with their past memories.

Seven wasn't allowed to join Starfleet, because she was a former Borg drone. But Starfleet had welcomed Picard back into the fold, despite the damage he had caused as the Borg drone Locutus?
