I just shouted "This show sucks" while watching this garbage.

Please tell me how I'm just a troll and a hater. Because this can't possible be a real opinion with a show this good.......

To clarify, it was during the scene with Jurati and the Borg queen, when Jurati says something like "I just discovered the computer can make a hologram from anyone who's been on the ship." and then Elron appreared.

That was just PHENOMENAL writing. So good. Just amazing.

Seven was also a Borg a hell of a lot longer than Icheb was.

Picard was a Borg for like...36 hours? Something like that? And Starfleet was still questioning his fitness to command years later. So it feels like they'd be pretty leery of anyone who's had even a mild case of Borg joining the ranks. (But apparently not so cautious when it comes to flying about in ships with Borg tech integrated in them. :nyah:)

I am reading the reviews at Jammer's Reviews. Someone already there is going into the Seven being rejected by Starfleet. It brought back to the forefront for me one of the things that happened in an earlier story. Starfleet sidelined one of their most powerful ships of the time, the Enterprise-E, at the RNZ when the fleet was battling the Borg because they were unsure of her captain, Jean-Luc Picard. And, one of the constant themes throughout "Voyager" was the underlying uncertainty regarding Seven's motives. So, for me, Starfleet being hesitant about her joining their organization ties into what has been established.

I am very sensitive to death, both real and fictional. When I drive down a road and I see a creature that has been killed by a car, I feel immediate sadness and loss. I cried when I learned about Yvette's death. It was the only time this season where I felt a emotion that was other than frustration, anger, and disappointment. It was refreshing.

I don't like the Adam Soong character. I want him off my screen when I see him.

I have never been in a combat scenario, but I find it hard to believe that soldiers would carry guns into battle that could be used by an enemy to nail down their locations like in this episode. Are there really guns where the targeting beam acts like they do in this episode? It seemed too Hollywood-ish for me.

I don't know if the events in this episode would stick in the timeline, for it they did, the finding of four dead people frozen into a wall by someone from the Picard family or one of their laborers would be the stuff of nightmares. Seven murdered those people brutally. About that army, I believed that I saw females last week, but I didn't see any females in this episode. Did I miss them?

I am doubtful the people who picked the models put much thought into the matter, other than the directive to get Starfleet ships for the scene with the Picard family. I could be wrong.

In real life you’d only see the lasers sights like this if there’s a lot of stuff in the air, like dust or fog. Which does work here, the chateau is old and abandoned, there would be a lot of particulates in the air for the lasers to catch on.

I think they’re were trying to invoke the way the Borg lasers acted in Voyager and First Contact.

Yes I get it. This is an echo chamber and dissenting opinions are not welcome here.

Have a good day.
You could provide constructive and detailed feedback, positive or negative, without resorting to invectives and superlatives. I know it can be tempting to do so when frustrated, but even if you have valid critique, no one is going to want to listen to it when it's buried in aggression.

Icheb?

Edit: Never mind, saw now Icheb was already discussed in this thread

I don’t see the issue.
Holodecks have been able to recreate real people like that since TNG.

It’s the mobile emitter I’m confused about, that was 29th century technology.

Also why did he need a mobile emitter? Guess Confederation La Sirena didn’t have holoemitters throughout the ship.

Love that the NX refit (Columbia class in the books) is canon. I love the design and have two models. The clunkiness of how the secondary hull connects with the nacelles and saucer adds to the charm - early Starfleet building grander but still on the long road towards the smooth, stylised Constitution class.

Because the non-canon Picard autobiography states JL had a model of the NX-01 until Robert found it, the on-screen model might be the SS Enterprise NX-01.

If they really want us to feel better about this new collective, they should give the current drones the choice to stay or leave.

Although, all her drones on La Sirena are dead. The ones on the clam ship at the start of the season might be volunteers.

  • Not surprised about Borgati. Been calling that there was going to be a change in the Borg’s mission for awhile. While I imagine she’ll appear in the finale, I’m guessing that Allison Pill won’t appear in season three. If that’s the case, I’m sad to see her go. She really crushed it this season.
  • On that note, adios, La Sirena.
  • Am a little surprised about Rios and Teresa. Not 100% sure we’re done with that.
  • I’m guessing the Q story will not be resolved this season. John deLanice is supposed to appear in season three but he is going to have to get them back to the future, cuz, ya know, no ship. It feels like there’s a lot more story here to be wrapped up than there’s time for.
  • That leaves us with the Europa mission and Soong to deal with in the finale.
  • An issue here is the “Look up” that Borgati said in the premiere but Picard never said that to Jurati. I suppose it could have been from the Borg’s assimilation of Picard years ago but it seems strange.
  • Loved the Borg getting beamed into the walls.
  • Nice Voyager references.
  • Was holoElnor’s mobile emitter destroyed? I missed how he just disappeared.
  • While it’s been interesting, I’m really not sure how the entire Yvette story fits into this whole season. Seems a bit incongruous to the rest. They could have found a better way for all of that to fit other than it just being how Picard was able to find his way around the catacombs of the Château.
  • While I’m not surprised, I was actually hoping Seven wouldn’t have had her implants return.
  • I do feel Raffi and Seven have been largely wasted this season. But still some nice moments for both of them here.
Overall, this was a better episode than the past few. I’m enjoying myself, but am ready for this storyline to be wrapped up.

It gives the Queen a physical object to target in order to take him offline.

They needed a way for him to be able to beat up the soldiers, but still have a physically obvious way of losing to the Queen, without the plot hole of why the Queen wouldn't just shoot out the holoemitters the moment he appeared.
