If I went by trailers BEY would have been the worst Star Trek film ever made.

I thought that first trailer was fine, never got the hate for it. Summed up the movie pretty well. IIRC though, it was rushed out to play before The Force Awakens or whatever the current SW movie at the time was.

Discovery season 4 and SNW’s productions overlapped. DSC probably needed a prop, and they probably share the same prop house.

This travesty is why I think we all agree that all decisions on Trek should be approved by a Council of Trekkers who answer to nobody. Not even CBS. When they say what should be done with the franchise it is final and their wishes are then carried out.

The Cage took place in 2254, while Discovery season 2 took place in 2258, with the final scenes of the season taking place three months after Discovery jumped to the future. 2259 seems like a safe bet.

Anson Mount and Akiva Goldsman have both mentioned a few times in interviews and promotions that Pike will be living with the knowledge of his own destiny/future in SNW, so it’s for sure after the events of DSC S02.

I think he meant will it take place immediately after DSC season 2, or will it take place several years after that.

My guess is 2259 with Season 2 taking place in 2260 and possibly into 2261.

I'm thinking that SNW S1 will start ca. 2260-61 to account for Anson Mount's real-world aging and set, prop and costume redesigns. But, I could be wrong.
