And how did Beth recognize Yolanda as Wildcat? Did I miss something?
Hmm. I guess I just missed that part for some reason. Odd, because I had the 'Closed Caption' on.Because Courtney said "Hurry up, Yolanda" while they were leaving. She is so bad at this.
Talk about a very strict family. Luckily she didn’t come out as gay or they might have killed her.
It was a okay episode but it needs more Pat. Don’t know what was up with the violin. I get the impression she was trying to summon someone.
I also don’t think the boyfriend shared the photo. I’m getting the impression that scene with him laughing with his friends was a red herring and that strange girl with the white highlights cloned his phone and asked for the pictures.
The way I interpreted all of that was that Henry was the one who asked for the photos, Cindy sent them to herself when she took his phone, and then she shared them with everyone else. In a couple of the scenes Henry seemed to feel bad about what was happening to Yolanda, so I don't think he planned things to go the way they did.Hmm, you might be onto something. I did initially suspect that the texts from "Henry" asking for the photos were actually from Cindy, but if that were the case, why show Cindy taking his phone later? They wouldn't have put it in the sequence if it didn't serve a purpose. I suppose it's possible that it was misdirection, to leave it unclear to us whether Henry or Cindy was to blame.
Yeah, that felt like a possible set up for something there.Yolanda's Brother seemed to be upset that her parents didn't forgive her. He stormed off after she was sent to her room.
I hope he doesn't find a black diamond.Yolanda's Brother seemed to be upset that her parents didn't forgive her. He stormed off after she was sent to her room.

He was definitely still an asshole though, since he set the whole thing off by showing the pictures to his buddies.
Yolanda's parents and grandmother refusing to forgive her was pretty crappy on their part. Yeah, what she did was stupid, but I think at this point she's been through enough with them and her classmates, and could probably use her family's support.
It's stupid, because this kind of stuff inevitably ends up getting shared with people you don't want to see it. Even if you or the person you send it to don't share them yourself, that doesn't mean somebody else couldn't get ahold of them and share them with everyone. Hell, I think it's stupid to have something like that on your phone, even if you don't share it anyone, because there's still a chance of the same thing happening. That's my take too, but thribs might be onto something with the suggestion that it's misdirection, that it was actually Cindy who sent the texts asking for the photos (which was my initial expectation before the scene in the hallway). I suspect we'll learn the whole truth eventually.
I don't think there's anything stupid about sharing sexy photos with one's romantic partner. At worst, she left herself vulnerable to someone else's abuses, so the fault lies with them, either Cindy, Henry, or both. And with her parents for being prudish, judgmental idiots who think it's okay to punish their daughter for the sin of having a body. Yolanda's the only one in this scenario (other than her brother, maybe) who hasn't done anything wrong.

Even still, 'Hollywood' takes a lot of liberties with the whole cloning.
It's not just about the naked pictures for me, I just think it's a bad idea in general to have anything on a phone you take out in public that you won't want other people to see, or get a hold of.I'm sorry, but that sounds analogous to saying "it's stupid to have a credit card because people clone or steal credit cards all the time." The risk of a thing being abused does not invalidate the thing itself. It just sounds like more slut-shaming to me.

I definitely agree that she's a victim, but if she hadn't sent him the picture then he wouldn't have had it to share. I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the pictures themselves, the mistake was putting them out in a way that they could have been shared. It was putting herself in a vulnerable position where something that hurt her could get out, that was the mistake.Henry was the one who took his phone out in public and let someone get hold of it. Yet you said "What she did was stupid." It's not about the naked pictures for me either -- it's about the unfairness of pinning all the blame on Yolanda when she's actually the victim.

I know that Courtney is supposed to be young and inexperienced, but that scene in the janitorial closet where she tries to turn off the power felt wrong.
It shouldn't have to be pointed out to her by the cosmic staff and Yolanda that doing so would be endangering the lives of patients on the floor.
I can almost picture her rushing to confront the Injustice Society once she feels she's reestablished the Justice Society.
I hope that this recklessness is brought up by Pat, Yolanda and others, because this tendency to act without thinking could lead to someone being injured or worse.
Also, hospitals with open windows. Really?! There's a lawsuit waiting to happen. The writer's couldn't simply have them meet on the roof or a balcony.
