Spoilers Stargirl - Season One Discussion Thread

This definitely raises a lot questions. Some time after Crisis aired I believe the Flash show runner said Jay and Joan Garrick would now be living on Earth Prime. Which raised questions about being doppelgängers of Henry and Nora who are dead. That may have been a smokescreen to hide this. The whole shutdown John vaguely said he was told there are future plans for Jay. Was this it? Or is he playing two different characters on both shows?
If he is dead on Earth 2 but alive on Earth Prime it would be nice to see the reaction of his friends on Earth 2?
Or i wonder if during the battle with the Injustice Society got sent to Earth Prime, and Joan was able to figure out a way to get to him (but not come back). They settled in at Keystone City, using their names... they may not have been famous enough for people to notice?

They must be impressed with season 2.
I'm amazed how many of these shows get renewed months before the season even starts. Is that just so they can get started on the next early?

I really enjoyed season one of this, somewhat surprisingly. I sometimes wonder why I still watch most of the other CW superhero shows (with the exception of Legends, which is always fun) but this felt like a superior production. The relationship between the main character and her stepdad was perfectly done.

I think this is happening right now because of C-19. Planning may have to start earlier, or more likely, putting new shows into production is more difficult.

I've read that networks in general have become more reluctant to cancel shows in recent years, even before the pandemic. With so many networks and streaming services competing for shows, each one has a harder time finding new shows to fill the gaps, so they have more of an incentive to keep the shows they have.

That's a surprisingly literal interpretation of Thunderbolt, with the three lightning bolts coming out of the forehead.

I might give this show a go, seen the pilot and the show seems ok but I'm not really into the whole comicbook superhero thing. I guess its almost impossible to avoid the genre these days.
