I’m curious if this will find an audience since it seems more youth oriented than other offerings. It seems an odd fit in my mind for DC Universe with its edgier content and the people I would presume who would buy the service. Being on CW was a good move though even there it doesn’t seem to fit the mold of the Arrowverse offerings. I know it’s not a part of it but I would think CW viewers might dismiss it as another show in that vein. I think it might have worked even better on Disney+ though they have their own “Stargirl” movie there.
The car is cool, Owen and Smart likable, Courtney is cute and charming and the initial effects were nice. It’s weird seeing the people I grew up with as the parental figures now. Joel McHale threatened to derail the show for a sec with the funny stuff, “definitely not you”.
