I’m curious if this will find an audience since it seems more youth oriented than other offerings. It seems an odd fit in my mind for DC Universe with its edgier content and the people I would presume who would buy the service. Being on CW was a good move though even there it doesn’t seem to fit the mold of the Arrowverse offerings. I know it’s not a part of it but I would think CW viewers might dismiss it as another show in that vein. I think it might have worked even better on Disney+ though they have their own “Stargirl” movie there.

The car is cool, Owen and Smart likable, Courtney is cute and charming and the initial effects were nice. It’s weird seeing the people I grew up with as the parental figures now. Joel McHale threatened to derail the show for a sec with the funny stuff, “definitely not you”. :)

Stargirl, and everything DC Comics related, is from Warner Bros. and there is no way they would ever put one of their shows on a competitor's streaming service.

Just speaking conversationally, I understand it couldn't happen but it really felt like it might've worked better as a Disney property in some hypothetical world where that could happen. I should've worded that more clearly.

Disney have Marvel. While they are no DC I’m sure they could make a tv show on one of their heroes. I hear there is a few in the can already.

It actually is part of the Arrowverse. They're talking about crossovers with The Flash and Supergirl, although not during this first season. Brec really wants to work with Melissa Benoist.

Pretty good second episode. They certainly took care Mind Master (or whatever his name is). I was expecting a mind wipe but this works as well. I bet he wakes up at the end of the season.

Sharing a Multiverse is not the same thing as sharing a continuity

And look what happened the moment he identified the love that dare not speak its named as mustache rides.

Prison, hard labour, an ear infection and death.

It took me years to notice, but Jim Rash plays Alfred Douglas's daddy, "Marcus" SUPER gay on the Mike Tyson Adventures, which is a dig at the bloke who (helped) put Oscar in jail.

It was okay, but had problems. They must have been rushed in terms of production, because the lack of continuity is terrible. Courtney and Pat's facial injuries move around and change during the episode and even temporarily, completely disappear in the scene where he tells her that she can't go confront Brainwave. Why did she have to climb onto S.T.R.I.P.E. when we know she can fly on her own using the staff in her hands? And what about the cliched "weapon just out of reach" situation? We've seen numerous times in these first two episodes that the Cosmic Staff can move of its own volition, so it shouldn't just lay there. Can't say I like her costume with the bike shorts, either. Makes her legs look shorter. Single color leggings from waist to toe make legs appear longer.

Fun show, with a playful soundtrack to match.

Waiting for Thawne to show up. He’s probably a member of the Injustice Society.

Nope. Their speedster was the Rival. And he didn't join until 2000. So far their memberships seems to be from the Golden Age team, with the exception of Solomon Grundy who joined in the 70's.
GA member the Fiddler showed up in Episode 2 as the son of the principle. Makes me wonder if mom was Fiddler 10 years ago.

^ Anaya Bowin is definitely the show's version of Fiddler.

I’m referring to how the character is portrayed in the ArrowVerse. He pops up everywhere. :)

    Oh no.

Courtney's daddy is her magic stick, from when it took human form 16 years ago.

Timing problems too. That training montage where Pat tried to get the robot's fist thingy to work must've taken hours, probably days, with all the time needed to take it back and forth to the shop and modify it in between however else he spends his time. And yet afterward we got a scene where Barbara was noticing Courtney's injuries for the first time as if it were the morning after the fight with Brainwave. It would require that whole montage to have taken place between sunrise and breakfast, which is quite impossible. Unless Barbara somehow went an entire day or two without seeing her own daughter.

She'd just been badly beaten in a fight -- it makes sense that she'd want to rest by letting someone else carry her. Besides, she wanted to go with Pat so he could explain things to her.

That occurred to me too, but it does react inconsistently, since she hasn't mastered its use yet. And maybe Brainwave was holding it down mentally?

From this thread, it really seems that DC Comics needs to do a story that not only includes the multiverse, shows all the Earths that were once the MAIN Earth, and come out with a detailed map that shows everything, since clearly some Earths have been renamed.

Didn’t they do that in the final act of Crisis?

A little bit on TV, but not with everything. I'm actually thinking DC Comics.

One place where I get very confused is Earth 2, which I guess is why I'm bringing it up here.

    1. There was Pre-Crisis Earth 2. This was destroyed in the original COIE.
    2. After INFINITE Crisis brought back a small multiverse, there was another Earth 2, which was exactly like the original Earth 2, except it wasn't, since the original Earth 2 Powergirl survived and there was another Earth 2 Powergirl on that New 52 Earth 2.
    3. In Convergence, it was stated that all Earths live on. Ok, that means the original COIE was altered. So if that's the case, where is the original Earth 2? If COIE was altered, did Infinite Crisis happen? If so, then the origina COIE could not have been altered because the Kal-L that lived through that COIE, was a part of Infinite Crisis. If his Earth 2 lived on, does that mean his Earth 2 is different than the Earth 2 that was saved because the COIE was altered?

And if the COIE is averted, then which Earth 2 would be THE original Earth 2? The one that didn't get destroyed, or the one that did?

Unless the altering of the pre-Crisis Earth 2 means that Infinite Crisis didn't happen.

On the Earth 1 front, did the original Supergirl die or not? If not, then again, no Infinite Crisis.

If Earth 2 original exists again, then what of the new 52 Earth 2? Were the numbers reassigned?

They can't ALL be called Earth 2.
