La Sirena

Chit? Is Tony Montana back? Hopefully he's selling the drugs to Raffi on Freecloud.
I hope they don’t overdo it with the cheese factor with Freecloud. We really don’t need a “Rios shot first” meme. And I hope we seem some Ferengi as it sounds like their type of place.

Rios is obviously a multi-tiered hologram created from the guilt he has of his Captain smooshing against the hull in a bloody pulp. Starfleet blames him and was kicked out.
Starfleet wouldn't kick a hologram out. They would switch it off.

Rios is human, for my money, and his holograms are a coping mechanism, a way to avoid having to deal with an actual crew of any kind - something he is now going to have to do.

A couple of observations about La Sirena interior size and layout.
It does extend beyond the main cargo hold.
When Picard is first brought on board, the EMH emerges from an open section "stage left" (first pic)

Further this section extends even further back behind the wall that contains the circle of light emitters.
(second and third pic) over the EMH shoulder there is a cut out on the panel, which is not mirrored on Picard's side.
This also reveals that corridor extends well behind the wall with the lights.
If that is the warp core housing, that is likely where any "engineering" room is and any drama might play out with another EH reveal - an Emergency Engineering Holo..
-----------------------
From E.4
A similar (storage?) room opens up on the other side..
As well as an open panel for tools, weapons?
And looks like another ladder down to the second level.

Also on both sides left and right seem to be what could be hatchways, that likely open to the exterior, maybe corresponding to the rectangles on the side of the ship, between the cockpit and the wings.

The bridge deck actually does extend around the main forward control terminals, where you can walk between them, and the main viewing screen/window.
Layout is surprisingly similar to most of the main starships bridges we've had.

We can assume (seeing as Jurati emerges in a new uniform) they will each get a personal quarter on the second level
And a Holodec dedicated to recreate Picard's home "office".
And hint of the corridor on the second level.

FYI for those into these details
On the wall is Fernand Léger "Women in an Interior" (1921)
(read into that what you will)

I was more struck that he made the EMH in his own image. Although with a different personality. Freud would have something to say about that I am sure.

Rios mentioned a "self-scan option". Which suggests that ships of this type can make all of their holograms look like the owner/captain.

The smaller pod attached to the starboard "nacelle"...is there an equivalent one on the port side?

Seems they've figured out the physics for use by the Starfleet Archives and Museum, haven't they?

Seemed to me like they'd refined Scotty's method in "Relics" for store a complete transporter pattern (ie, at the quantum level, verses atomic level for replicated stuff) without any degradation, so as to keep digitised items indefinitely. :)

I'm gonna guess La Sirena will sprout whatever rooms the script needs, and much like the Delta Flyer will be physically completely impossible by the end of the show's run.

Picard's already hanging out in his Chateau. So I just figure 95% of the ship is a giant holodeck, providing the illusion of a larger spaceship through already established tricks.

LOL true!

Shots of a few of the new angles and spaces...

Rios, surprised he dosn't holo a field and goal.

Mess, dining or general crew area?

And yes I'd love to see (as trek fans are prone to do) someone start an attempt at floor-plans / cutaway of their impression of the ship layout so far.

I'd say those last two do depict a general utility table for crew/passengers to use for whatever. Dining, small-parts repairs, "paperwork" (with or without actual paper), work-order briefings, whatever.

Those shots indicate a ship about the size I said in the other thread when we only had shots of it flying near the Romulan BoP.

Main superstructure is around 50m long, up to 80m long if we include all the extra extended bodywork.
About 30-40m across with around 4 decks.

Nice compact little ship.

It should have weapons like the Defiant though, that Romulan BoP wouldn't have lasted long if it had.

La Sirena is one of a class of mass-produced private small-freighters, right? I wouldn't expect such a ship to have weapons suites of the same grade as the Defiant class.
Rios should have pimped his ride by now.

I definitely would have.

The fact that his little "Freighter" was out manuevering that modified antique and had fire power that was able to take it down spoke volumes. He obviously pimped it out, just made it a sleeper type vessel where it's not flashy or apparent that his vessel is capable of fighter level manueverability or higher fire power than most shuttles.

How illegal all that is... Depends. The Maquis weren't supposed to have heavy guns on their ships, but that already came with the territory, literally: they were explicitly and exceptionally forbidden from parking anything heavily armed on their planets in the DMZ. Elsewhere, Federation colonists and traders often carried infantry weapons, with nary a comment, but their spacecraft were basically never seen.

Back in the 2150s, the Boomers weren't supposed to arm their ships, but that was centuries ago, under a different rule altogether...
