I will make a deck plan with the approx dimensions we obtained by comparing the SketchUp model with the Photos. You can fit quite a few Defiant sized small crew quarters in the lower deck. Enough for dozens of people depending on how they utilize the space. The Captains quarters seemed fairly large though. So they may not use the space that way.

Well, from a floor level view ... Pretty Spacious in the Captain Cabin.

Though his 1950's furniture leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm sure there's at least one Merchant Vessel La Cucaracha wandering around somewhere in the Federation-explored reaches of the Orion Arm.

Here is a section I was working on recently for a cargo ship. Dimensions of this section are 48m by 12 m. As you can see, you can squeeze quite a bit in there.

The ship has external holo emitters to project things into space, like a companion ship to trick enemies.

I think it can also cloak.

Rios himself is a hologram so there is no need for much space save for his soccer field in the back.

He killed his former captain with a error regarding the internal dampeners - squished him into the wall. He’s afraid of doing that again and can’t use the full maneuverability of the ship with organics onboard because dampeners or not they would get squished

I like the paint job, but it's still a really generic ship from the outside that could fit into any sci-fi franchise (as could the Merchantman from STIII and every even-numbered DS9 episode, and Picard's "Gambit" pirate ship)

I do like the TOSish helm/nav controls and holographic crew.

Anyone else eagerly awaiting the Eaglemoss Picard collection? It's said to drop late 2020/early 2021, I hope the La Sirena will be the first ship of the collection. Can't wait.

You can see La Sirena in the Trek universe. It has enough design lineage agreements to fit well, but I agree it could probably have been a ship in Guardians of the Galaxy and would fit there just as well.

I doubted it until I rendered the 3D model. It separates right in the middle. Now the question is why? Do holograms control the other half?
Rios comes off as a hologram/person/synth/ that tricked out his little ship with far heavier armaments than people would expect. Also some trickery and crazy surprises. It’s how Rios survives running biomemetic gel.

I think you're going to be very disappointed with your assumptions about Captain Rios.

He's going to turn out to be anything but Human.


Also, you really need to stop pulling chit outta your butt.
It may be fun to fantasize a bit about the possibilities, but you go waaaay overboard with it.
There's nothing we've been given so for to indicate that any of that is a possibility.

Rios is obviously a multi-tiered hologram created from the guilt he has of his Captain smooshing against the hull in a bloody pulp. Starfleet blames him and was kicked out.

I am sure we will see more Rios holograms

I don’t think Captain Rios is human. I think he is a hologram that is dominant over the other Rios holograms. I think he is always on 24/7. I also think Raffi knows Rios is a hologram but for some reason chose to not inform JL.

There is far more going on the La Serena than seems.
