And even these could be presented as a part of a season-long arc if they are doing it right. Let Discovery encounter these obstacles and anomalies as they're looking for supplies, a place they could use as a safe haven, and maybe even making some friends among the people they're helping out.

Oh absolutely. I like long arcs, nearly all my current favourite shows use them, and I'm glad that Discovery has embraced that format. But they need to learn to stick the landing.

Even during the era of past shows like TNG & DS9, etc., I don't think there were many conventional shows that showed episode titles onscreen (obviously they did have them though); I think the Stargate shows had the titles on screen, if memory serves, and Doctor Who too. Anyway, it's just that it's been a Star Trek thing from the beginning and I miss them! :D

How would that work? Vulcans are long-lived, but I think 900+ years is pushing it. :)

Is there any chance of special guests with disco in the 32nd century?

Well, by a staggering coincidence this story takes place in th 32nd Century. i wouldn't mind catching up with Lorq Von Ray.

No, Burnham used the last remaining power of the crystal to take a dip back like she did with the first 5 and let Spock know she was okay before being catapulted back to the ship.

Only the 6th signal was different in all 7, using it like a continuous human flare through the wormhole ahead of Discovery.

As an aside, I really, really like that 70s / 80s sci-fi novel cover aesthetic that Chris Foss and Peter Elson did so well. I'd love to see some of that influence in Star Trek.

Not many still likely to be alive. Technically, the EMH and B4 are possibilities, as is obviously Q.

Not gonna lie, I’d love to see DSC episodes with Q and the EMH.

Last years special fx sometimes had a kind of painted Chesely Bonestell thing going on, but it clearly was not resonating with fans. I kind of liked it, but I will admit, I like the fx this year better.

My wish for season 3 is for the Discovery crew to retrieve 2 books and bring it back to starfleet HQ.
1st book: The best inventions of the Millenium explained.
2nd book: The worst Disasters of the Millenium.
Or maybe just a single book : The Millennium Sports Almanac.......
