The last episode has to be Pike walking towards his accident. BOOM, the accident happens. Then as he is slowly being carted off to the emergency room by medical staff, we hear Pike waxing poetic about following your destiny, about how great his life was, about how he regrets not spending more time with Batel, and how he entrusts the future of the Enterprise to a new crew; perhaps going so far as to ape what Kirk said at the end of Star Trek VI:
"This ship and her history will shortly become the care of another crew. To them and their posterity will we commit our future. They will continue the voyages we have begun, and journey to all the undiscovered countries, boldly going where no one has gone before."
