What would you like to see in the finale episode of Season 5?

[Laura Cynthia Chambers]

Perhaps leaving the fate of an original to SNW character ambiguous.

Like what? Pike boards a Cadet training ship and there's an explosion?

i guess the enterprise enters some dimentional portal and the screen goes black

[Returnee BBS]

I'd prefer to fall into a parallel universe where season 5 is not the end of the show and Discovery, Lower Decks and Academy were also not cancelled.

I'm speculating that the writers intended to use the Venari Ral for DIS S6.

If that Discovery Season 6 had gone forward, then there would be no Starfleet Academy.

That's... Not true.

[Fire(BOO!)]

If that Discovery Season 6 had gone forward, then there would be no Starfleet Academy.

And this is based on what, exactly? The show was already well into pre-production by the time Discovery's cancellation was announced.

[Ghouleddie74]

Based on rumor or opinion, nothing more.

i think there still would have been a starfleet academy if discovery kept going

the difference between discovery and starfleet academy would be that on star trek discovery they would have to restart the 5 year mission to re explore strange new worlds after the burn

while on starfleet academy it would be about cadets joining the new verison of starfleet

That's just my own speculation.

[Boo-khat!]

That's just my own speculation.

I don't think you had all the facts before making that speculation.

I want a Lower Decks style story where new recruit, engineering specialist Janice Rand accidentally thwarts a plot by the Orion Syndicate for reasons.
