yeah, but isn't this bridge corridor closer to the TOS style hallways than the discovery ones? something about it speaks to me as a more successful update of that fairly mundane set than the way they modified their standing sets.

Eaves design was a very careful one, with many design considerations, and honestly as intricate and costly as the main ship of this show. He didn't "cobble it together", this is clearly a work of passion and art.

Eaves just took a design he had made for the NX-01 from ENT, changed it around a tiny bit, and presented it as the DSC Enterprise. I doubt that much thought or time went into it as some people think.
