Red Angel Theories- Post Here

I remember someone guessing this correctly but don't feel like searching this thread. So come on up and accept your reward.

I was the one who guessed it.

Here's an outside the box idea: The Red Angel is Burnham's mother.

Not Amanda - Burnham's birth mother.

Consider the following:

1. The Red Angel personally intervened to save Michael's life.

2. The Red Angel is female.

3. Burnham never actually saw her parents die - she was hiding in a cupboard IIRC.

4. Section 31 - Leland in particular - is somehow responsible for their "deaths."

5. Sarek raised Michael, and had connections to Section 31.

Basically maybe Burnham's parents were either working for Section 31 or their work was known to them. Their research involved time travel. Control rules it was too dangerous and they must be killed. Burnham's mom somehow escapes into the future, finds a future suit, and is battling with Control across the timeline.

The soundly reasoned hypothesis was too logical and sensible to dismiss. Besides, the series focuses on the journey of discovery that is Michael Burnham's.

We may not be done yet when it comes to twists. It's possible Michael may still end up as a red angel (the whole brain scan thing)

We could play around with more theories. Maybe Michael is a clone of her mother and she is destined to wear the suit next.

But a lot more people guessed the Lorca and Voq twists in the first season, so the writers are getting better at this.

Just the fact that the Red Angel isn't an Iconian, after so many people thought it must be, makes me kind of warm and happy inside.

Don’t know if it was mentioned before, but the reveal of TRA reminded me somewhat of Alias, where the lead finds out her mother is still alive.. Her parents were secret agents, much like Michael’s parents turn out to be ‘secret’ scientists. Wasn’t Kurtzman involved in Alias as well? Maybe some sort of trait for him?
