I was being polite about one of the reaons why I think there was a possiblity of other places being saved.

The writers chose Richmond, Indiana as the location of the church. Richmond, Indiana is located in rural Indiana. Rural America is not known for its diversity of beliefs. Yet, we are shown a wide range of beliefs, many of which would not be known to a resident of Richmond.

The city has a population of about 40,000 in a county with a population of 70,000.

And why was Richmond attacked? There are no major military bases near there.

*frowns at you in Hoosier*

While certainly not a large city, it does have several good colleges and it's not as whitebread as you portray. Most of Indiana's cities are getting much more diverse while the rural areas slowly die off. It's also about forty miles from Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, so while it's unlikely to be directly targeted it's certainly close enough you'd see the base being nuked into oblivion.

Everyone knows nukes are very discriminating.

The picture of May in the year book photo was a different actress. Her personality might be from memories, but unless Tilly had seen her since then, not her physical look.
Yeah, that was really weird and disconcerting.
Who or whatever that apparition was, extrapolated from Tilly's childhood memories what the person would look like in the present day for Tilly.
(at the point when the character died)
That definitely leads one to believe in some of the speculation that it is the Souls of the Dead coming back.

Ah, so the Red Angel might be Davy Jones.

Agree with both of you. Didn't strike me as a funny moment. It struck me as a stark contrast to Burnhams past arrogance and inability to trust her superiors, except this guy paid a quick and ultimate price, where in Burnhams case she got lucky.

I personally don't perceive Burnham's survival as so much a matter of luck as her ability to assess the people around her not to mention herself expertly for the most part, within the context of a show where she is the lead character. For whatever reason that he had, Connelly failed on both assessments in his death scene, and such, had a short life as Discovery crew.

Which would make Tilly a Daydream Believer and a Homecoming Queen.
It's all coming together.

Welll...
We've kinda-sorta seen a Klingon spaceship version of the Flying Dutchman in their Ship-of-the-Dead.
But I'm not so sure if the Fek'lhr would be willing to pick up other alien races, especially humans.
:techman:
Who doesn't want to revisit the Barge of the Dead?
