Excellent episode, one of my
Discovery favourites so far. It had the feel of classic Trek while maintaining an up to date feel and the benefits of the characters and writing that took a step up last week. I loved the interplay between science and faith, the emphasis was just right I felt, and I'm not frightened of contemporary religion in Star Trek. Also the moral dilemma faced by Pike and the resolution he took. I'm liking his character more and more.
A solid
9. Still leaving room for improvement guys if you're reading this
Interesting that they aren't retconning the dates of WWIII from First Contact despite us being twenty years closer to that date - however, sadly, it seems more realistic now than it did in the 90s.
