When she starts cataloging those dark matter rocks, will she name it the obsidian order?

Don't think it was Pike..........Pike just interrupted what she was seeing.......Much like Han arriving while Luke was talking to Ben in ESB.
I have patience but the whole idea never really seemed that interesting to me. I’m kinda getting to my limit with these season spanning stories (this goes for a lot of shows). DS9 did it better IMO. A season(s) long story but broken up with comfy episodes of the week. I’ll still watch, but I won’t post here all that much.
we had at least one in season one and honestly I could do witout meaningless self-contained filler episodesEasier to do when they had 24 episodes a season. Even 15 isn't really enough to go off on any whole-episode tangents.
I hope he has a beard he can stroke while cackling about revenge.I'm still thinking it is Lorca, especially considering both Burnham and Spock has seen or dreamed about it.
Lorca became semi-omnipotent thanks to the Mycelium fireball he was thrown into. He has stewed for thousands of years for a chance at revenge against Burnham and her family.
I think she was having a real vision of one before Pike ran in and snapped her out of it. The figure had tentacles sticking out the back that gave the appearance of wings, hence the "Red Angel" name. I don't think Pike, even in a spacesuit, could be mistaken for a red angel.Burnham saw one of the red angels in the first episode, but it turned out to be Pike coming toward her. The implication was that it was an illusion but there is a scene in one of the trailers where she claims she saw a red angel.
dammit, I was just about to post that...From Doug Jones' interview on TrekMovie
And these seven signals in the sky, scattered throughout the galaxy … every time we follow one, there’s something to be fixed, a catastrophe to be remedied. And are they connected? That’s a question.
It turns out Pike never took over Discovery, and the "Pike" we know is just an Angel in disguise who is using Discovery to get back to its people, who have sent him on some kind of scavenger hunt.
It'll turn out that Spock has Pike safely locked in storage somewhere.

I don’t think they can do the whole “Captain isn’t who they think he is” thing again. Can they? CAN THEY?!?
I think it’s significant showing Lorca’s demise in the S1 recap at the beginning of the episode, so feel he might indeed be involved...

I think these things are aliens trying to understand the concept of faith, and so in true Star Trek fashion, have decided that experimenting on other sentient beings is the best way to explore it.
It's the Archangel Michael trying to break into another universe to get Chuck's attention.
I don't know where the Iconian stuff came from. They aren't fully revealed until the 24th century. Up until then, they were just a myth. Plus they use doorways to get around.
