looks like it, but you can't really see it. i wonder whether the ankle the head is shown from in this pic is chosen deliberately to obscure the 'new' klingon for the time beingDang! That lush hair! I love it!
Also, is it possible that they reduced the egg-shaped skulls to regular "human-sized" skull-shapes?
I don’t agreeAs well as bald Klingons in season one, the set design looks like it's been directly evolved from the USS Kelvin.
I like the hair coming back but I don't like what they have to her face.
She looks like a different person when you see the old look side to sode with the new one.
It's a marked difference in this image on Trek Core
I much prefer her original look.
They already changed her look in Season 1 itself. This is from the finale, notice the smoothed out cheeks and face.I like the hair coming back but I don't like what they have to her face.

I think Mary said they got it down to 2 hours in Season 1, which is even shorter time then Worf's makeup. The new make up looks like it is a lot easier and quicker to apply.
They need to work on the skin texturing so her face doesn't look so artificial.
It looks fine. They need to work on the skin texturing so her face doesn't look so artificial.
And then add in some shading to thin out her face, because the prosthetics along side her natural head shape makes her head way too fat for her body.
Honestly kind of surprised the guys let her on screen with those problems given if anyone put forward a makeup that on Face//Off they would have sent them home..
Nope. Many of the fan photoshops of L'Rell with hair looked a lot (A LOT!) better. This is overall pretty terrible.
Hell no those looked horrible. This looks a lot better since it’s actually real
Why do you think the lack of skin texturing and proper facial shading look fine?It looks fine.
I like how much Mary has embraced her role as a Klingon.
