Not really. They’ve made a few minor blunders but nothing drastic.

So is mirror Georgiou going to be the Discovery captain in season 2?

    Trek canon contradicts itself frequently.

Again: "canon" does not mean " consistent."

I think it's probably going to be Saru. I don't see how Starfleet Command would knowingly allow someone from the Mirror Universe to serve in Starfleet but... I don't know.

There’s room to suggest that at least part of the Federation was conquered — discussion of Vulcan being conquered pre TOS. So I think that if they could go to that extent maybe it would work. I dunno. Let’s wait and see before we get all out of sorts.

And to me, canon is a crutch that is a nice background but I don’t think we need to be married to it if the story is good. But I respect others disagree with me.

Lucky. That’s where the phrase comes from. People making a fuss over every little joke etc.
SJWs are usually people without a sense of humour.

The trailer for next week only says 20%, not the entire federation, Saru was probably overreacting

Sad that you're so easily triggered. But I can recall multiple instances during the press junket where the producers mentioned the socio-political intentions with the series and what they were trying to push. They weren't shy about doing that.

Given that, sadly there's no way Jason Isaacs could have played a respectable authority figure, or even a hero.

Amusingly he was a villain, and not even a very good or memorable villain sadly. I knew he'd be defeated and killed so unceremoniously, in the interest of elevating other characters.

It depends on the extent. If it’s minor, then they might keep it but I think this is supposed to be the Federation on its last legs and I don’t think that will stick.

I don't care if people don't like DSC, opinion will be mixed and that's part of the territory, but this complaining about "Social Justice Warriors" is getting old.

I really wish Stamets had said, we "overshot by...150 years" as a Sovereign class came into view.
