Defiant. Hoshi used it to maintain her grip on power. she might never have left it. Anyway thats my thought. What is the theory on what "the palace" is (Stamets mentioned it a couple times)??
Interesting. I like it.Defiant. Hoshi used it to maintain her grip on power. she might never have left it. Anyway thats my thought.
It's called a story arc, something common on modern television. The days of one-off stories is basically dead, audiences want more now. Now we get an ongoing story where characters go and develop. They don't learn lessons that they forget next week anymore.
That would be awesome. It's too bad they've already mentioned there is an Emperor and not an Empress leading the Terran Empire. But we can hold out hope she's referenced or something. It would be so delicious to at least hear about how she was eventually usurped in the MU.Defiant. Hoshi used it to maintain her grip on power. she might never have left it. Anyway thats my thought.
The difference in diversity then vs. now is it was about telling a good story first, showing off diversity second. Now it's the reverse.
Infraction for trolling for repeated sexist remarks. Comments to PM.Adrianne Palicki is hot, so it's acceptable.
Tilly is the female Neelix. Warts are the least of Tilly's problems.
Saru is an alien. In the Terran Empire, aliens are considered the enemy. My first post!
Enjoying the show, would only like to see more from some of the other bridge characters esp Keyla and the other woman on the helm (whose name I don’t know). Agree with a previous comment that the ship looks a bit sparsely populated otherwise
And what’s with Saru not switching to Empire uniform and insignia?
Terrans are xenophobic, given how Saru's people seem to behave they may have been hunted to extinction. Although I do hope the Emperor is Georgiou and Saru is her love slave. My first post!

You're welcome, and speaking of, welcome to the board!Ah yes of course, thanks![]()
I love Tilly. Warts and all.™
Discovery seems like the strongest first season of any series. We haven't really had any duds yet like that TNG episode with the extremely racist planet that Tasha had to fight on.
Fair point. "Duet" is easily one of the strongest first season Trek episodes ever.DS9 wins IMO. Mostly due to “Duet”. Discovery is second.
