So you want the actresses in DSC to dress sexy for you sometimes. Huh. So you're not perceiving them as objects for your sexual consumption at all, right? Interesting that this is the hill you've chosen to die on.

You are reading my posts all wrong. I dont find Tilly or Burnham sexy at all so short outfits are pointless on them. I want them to dress as canon dictates, not dress unisex to appease snowflakes. Please dont paint me as some kind of sleaze. Thank you.

I invite you to consider the statement that women in short skirts is pointless if they don't turn you on. I don't have to paint you as a sleaze, you're doing a great job all by yourself, Picasso.

It's amazing you can still hear me, given how deep the hole you've dug.

Its pointless because im not complaining about the uniforms because they arent titillating enough but because they have been made unisex to appease the worst type of moaner, the SJW

If what happened in old Star trek shows dont matter, why not just have a show called Discovery and make whatever science and storylines you want without pesky canon. Having a /prequel/sequel to such rubbish old shows is so uncool....

Im not saying it doesn't matter. But aesthetics are mostly a sign of the times. They change and are expected to change. Don't get me wrong, I'm a leg guy and seeing Tilly in a skirt would have been a welcome sight, I just see it as a stylistic choice and not a SJW statement. I mean these things are going to change, doesn't mean it's a social or political stance, it's just another time stamp.

While I couldn't care less about the whole uniforms bit, it does seem a bit odd that the Terran Empire, which is totally the opposite of the Federation in regards to the rights of non-humans, democracy, the rule of law, and the place of violence in society, has functionally identical viewpoints on gender relations to the Federation. If everything is supposed to backwards in the Mirror Universe, they should be sexist as all hell as well. Except during the period when TOS took place, when they can be gender egalitarians.

I think the idea that everything is "backwards" in an alternate universe is a bit overplayed. I like it better when it creates twists in characters, not always polar opposites.

Maybe in such a brutal empire, its more neutral because it's pretty merit based.

If you can kill better, you're higher up. And maybe some women are just better at killin'
