It's a very common phrase. I'm sure there have been countless uses of it to refer to moving through time normally instead of taking a time-travel shortcut. I mean, not taking a shortcut is literally taking the long way. It's not even a metaphor. So what else would anyone call it?

Yeah, I've never seen Terminator: Genysis and I've heard the term used in this way.

The standard way? The normal way? The old-fashioned way? The usual way?

Oh well, was just a thought. Never mind. :p

Weeks more until we find out what's become of our Agent May!

Just as a point of clarification, the above quote which was attributed to me in Gaith's post on page 11, was actually posted by EMH. And yes, Fitzy traveling to the future via cryo sleep was certainly the last thing I expected.

The seer girl's last prophetic drawing in the episode seems rather foreboding as to what's going to happen in the upcoming episode(s).

I seriously heard the SHIELD fanfare in my head after reading that sentence. :D

Poor Leo. He said a beautiful marriage proposal to Jemma and she didn't even her it! :wah:

At least, they made up for it with the heroic escape wedding proposal with Jemma doing the honors. "Oh, of course you did." "No, seriously, I did!"

Some terrific casting in this episode. Who else to play sniveling Ponarian than Better Call Saul's Patrick Fabian? But even better is Turn's Samuel Roukin as Faulnak, Kasius' brother. I don't expect we'll see much more of Ponarian, but with Kasius suddenly killed off by Jemma, I expect Faulnak will become the lead bad guy, and I can only hope he's just as psychotic as Simcoe.

I'm sorry Tess was killed off (and off camera), but I never expected any of the future characters to last beyond this segment of the season (are they calling them pods again?). Still, she was the most interesting one among the humans.

And what does Enoch mean he's not a person?!

Does this mean the Kree are Hamlindigo blue?

In the Fitz flashback episode, Enoch referred to himself as "a sentient Chronicom," which implies that Chronicoms are something that isn't typically or necessarily sentient. So I've been wondering if he's some kind of artificial intelligence.

Heh, I hadn't thought about that, but perhaps so. Although it would work better if Fabian actually played a Kree.

I had forgotten about that. I can see artificial intelligence as the answer (would certainly explain his longevity), although I was argue any AI is a person, certainly someone as sentient as he appears to be.

I would agree but then he was most likely just being a smart ass for the sake of it.:) I am guessing he considers himself a sentient and viable lifeform.

Well, that rescue could have gone a little better, but they all walked out of the arena alive, so it counts as a win.
Daisy was awesome, rising up dramatically like that and... click! Crap. Almost.

Wow, Clark Gregg knocked it out of the park with this one.
They definitely cleaned out the supporting cast a bit with this one.
We finally learned why Kasius didn't seem very happy being on Earth.
The fight scene between the telepath (Ben?) and May was pretty cool.
Seeing Fitz be a scary badass mercenary was pretty fun. The two marriage proposals between him and Simmons were great, but I always get a little worried about characters when they do something big like that.
I finally looked up Sinara actress Florence Faivre to figure out why her name was so familiar, and it turns out she's Julie Mao from The Expanse. I did not recognize her at all.
I've been trying to figure out, is the white on Kasius and Sinara, and now the black on his brother and his men, supposed to be natural coloring, or makeup or tattoos?

I assume it's some sort of decoration, either makeup or tattoo.

I was actually taken a bit aback by what happened to Tess. I actually found myself having said "Whoa." out loud without intending to.

I really dig that Sinara look! However, Kasius' brother shows not everyone can rock the blue.

I would agree, but sometimes the word is used more narrowly. Sort of like how nonhuman fictional characters will sometimes say things like "I am no man" or "I'm not human," except he was talking to a Kree so they had to go more general.

It's makeup. Recall Ronan's first scene in Guardians of the Galaxy, which showed his face being painted with the black war paint he wore through the rest of the film. The makers of AoS have presumably extrapolated from that -- apparently wearing black or white face paint/makeup in an individualized pattern is a custom of the Kree nobility in the MCU. In, I believe, the second episode of the season, there's a shot near the start where one of Kasius's slaves is brushing the white makeup onto his face before he shoos her away.

I keep remembering the Recorders from the comics. Maybe something along those lines?

I had definitely thought he might be Recorder. I just wish he was from Rigel, not Cygnus. That being said, people have pointed out he was apparently taking a shower, which seems unnecessary for a robot.
