USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

I don't care what the Enterprise (if shown) will look like but one way to "get over" its different look from the rest of DSC is to think of it as an older ship. Doesn't have to be much older but enough to "explain" its different looks.

Or...one can simply accept it's all entertainment and different designers are in charge of the production. YMMV

Personally I'd love to see something like this ;)

If they decide to ever go back to post NEM/25th century era - they can count me out as I'm sure they'll have replicator wands that can materialize anything out of thin air; and mankind so well adjusted and in agreement they won't have to speak because everyone will be thinking the same way. Plus I'm sure the Bridge would be on big Conference Room where they can debate how right the Federation stance is - or debate how to disperse the latest particle of the week with there Deflector dish (YMMV);)
That's only if Berman is running the show. And, there's one thing I'm 100% confident about. He won't be running the show! A post Nemesis show doesn't have to have that boring stuff.

The issue is, they can not and will not show the TOS version. It simply does not fit. But if they show it and have updated it, fans will grash teeth. If they do not show it, fans will gash teeth. If they do not update it...only a tiny group of fans will like it and most new fans will be super confused as to why a ship that looks like an old clunker is being shown next to sleek sexy designs as just 10 years older.
I'm actually optimistic that they'll find a way to fit it in. It wouldn't be a regular either, of course. So, the solution just has to work for a few episodes.

That's pretty neat. Are there more pics of it somewhere?
This might also be Hunters work but it might also be a different artist all together. Still love these detailed takes on the old design. Throw on some new hull textures, gorgeous lighting, and some detail refinement and it would fit right in with Discovery.

Probably but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

If they've said it, you should be able to find a tweet/article, etc where it was said (Hey the people arguing the Production team never said it was in the 'Prime Universe' <--- which they have stated multiple times - didn't buy it until someone provided a link. And as I said they're 100% free to design a Bridge or Ship we've never seen, but the TOS 1701 has been seen in this era. Again, I don't mind some changes per se - but if they decide to have it onscreen, and it's radically different from how it appeared in the shows (TOS Remasted or ENT or even DS9); then all I'm saying is the 'it's set in the Prime Timeline' claim of the Production staff becomes BS...which won't overall effect the actual story content in any way, but would be a bit disappointing for me.

I agree with your post, except I would love for it to be a reboot. Lets go forward in a way that you can't do in the Prime continuity. If its a war show, I don't want it on the fringes of Federation space on worlds we've never heard of. I want huge battles, like in 300, with Lirpa's and Bat'leths on the battlefield of Vulcan. Massive space battles above and on Earth.

If you want to do something epic, then reboot and do something epic. Don't nip around the edges of a fifty-year old TV show.

I do sort of agree with you here. Although, I was thinking a post-Nemesis show (but not done Berman style). That would give you the same advantages.

I wasn't surprised that it was set in the Prime universe, CBS has made so much money with it, but I was surprised that it was a prequel. However, if they were going to do one, they picked the time period I would've. So, I'm down with it. Based on what we've seen, I feel confident that it'll be an entertaining show at the very least.
