people are different for real. if I remember his STID review. he called the film the best trek film yet.
I wouldn't go that far but it was definitely better than Beyond.
STID was very good, but I understand the complaints. I didn't agree with them personally - my main complaint was the pace of the movie and once again a lot of the characters were weak including Kirk.
Beyond is probably the first real Trek movie since Nemesis, I enjoyed it immensely and it had everything I wanted. Regardless, I do believe arguing about it is pointless - STID was well received, but BO wise it indicated a maximum of 500m BO WW. I fully believe Trek could do a 100-150m budget movie with this cast and deliver something very good, I adored the scenes in the new movie which were just talking in their quarters.

That was really his only criticism that I agreed with-the destruction of the Enterprise could be done less, but then, in most action films, major cities would also like it if they would stop destroying them.
Other than that, I don't really agree, but am glad he shared his thoughts.

It's funny, if you told Trekkies in 1987 that they would one day care what Wil Weaton had to say they would have laughed in your face.
Not confusing anything - just amused by the shower thought of how much Trekkies hated Wesley Crusher and were equally dismissive of Wheaton's subpar acting, but nowadays he's become a nerd guru.
The Digital Bits is saying that Star Trek: Beyond (BD, BD3D, DVD & 4K), as well as a Star Trek Trilogy Blu-ray Collection(including 2009, Into Darkness, and Beyond) are going to street on 9/20.

They must have changed their minds about it because the last time I checked they said that it was in November.
The September date seems extremely unlikely, but I'd love to be wrong.
I think TrekCore has said the date is wrong.
That's really too bad. I can't wait to make that purchase.
