Is Janeway an example of the 'mother bitch woman in power' trope?

Janet Janeway's site was the real wonder.. I mispoke, it was actually 4500 pages BIG. With screenshots of every episode painstakingly captured from video cassettes. I've said this before, but it was like an early illustrated manuscript of the internet, compiled before memoryalpha and wikipedia, a real labor of amazing love. I wish it still existed, but in the end it was too expensive for the owner to keep up and of course so much of the information was now elsewhere. Fandom history.

OMG! I am laughing to tears. Now that my mind is more open...yes...maybe she was really more heart broken losing her closet dream of seven. I don't get Kate though...she acts broken hearted as Janeway but asks US if we thought C7 worked because she did. I think she was so sick of antics she rescinded her belief that J/C was so unshakable that they wouldn't really drift to others yet not be physically in a relationship the, selves) (To paraphrase a 1996pre Seven of nine interview)

I remember her site! Labor of love indeed. (Australians don't spell it labour? Is that Canadian? :-) god I'm ignorant at times.

Well I was actually happy with C/7, he made the perfect starter boyfriend for 7. He was kind, would always be nice to her, would take it maturely when she inevitably moved on and would be super patient with her weirdness. He was just getting her ready for her future torrid love affair with Janeway I believe, and of course fulfilling his chump role poor man. He's very undemanding and wouldn't expect her to flatter him like the EMH would, or have "fun" on her time off like Paris would or knit him sweaters like Harry would. She would have plenty of time and space to figure out what having a boyfriend was like.

Of course we the viewers were shocked because all the pre-relationship scenes building up to this moment were cut in favour of technobabble on the bridge.

They spell it labour, but one of the two major political parties is called Labor so I think a lot of times it is spelled labor just from seeing Labor so often.

I think it might be ironic I change my name referencing Sainthood and I've said god today more than any other time I've been on this forum. I better get back to bed. I have two precious hours before my busy day begins. Now I wish I were in Australia. To chat, be warm, and then get more sleep. Hahah.

I just came back from the toilet where when I went to get a fresh roll of toilet paper a huntsman emerged from the tube and there was yelling and throwing toilet paper across the room. In case that makes you feel better about freezing and not getting as much sleep as I'm going to get going to bed right now.

I still remember that one time I went to the toilet, and about halfway through I absently looked up and saw a huntsman on the wall above me. And then it raised and twitched one front leg at me, like it was giving me a friendly wave or something.

The memory of that incident has stuck with me for decades now.

LOL no huntsmen in the lieu here. Would you send yours? deer like to run out in front of me. I almost went to the toilet...in my car. Three deer walked, jumped, or slept on the road I drive on everyday. crazy biotches.

That's terrifying Catarina!

And Lance I knew people who had a particularly massive one in the corner of their toilet, up high. It had died and somehow stuck there. They left it there for the visitor LOL's.

I thought about fruitcake one year but after my fantabulous Halloween name of teacock everything else is just a lesser effort.

And nobody ever wants to be associated with fruitcakes anyway.

Fruitcake, singular, actually. There is only one fruitcake in the entire world; people just keep giving it to each other and nobody ever eats it.

This is typical of us too. We're mostly British, but we cherry-pick choice words and spelling from American English when it suits us to (we typically call a certain vegetable the American prefered 'Zucchini', rather than using the British prefered 'Courgette', for example).

I don't for the life of me understand why Labour renamed itself Labor, though.  It does open up the possibility for lots of comedy routines about the 'core values' that the party is always trying to 'get back to' being embodied by the missing U, though. ;) :D

So when I make Zucchini bread it's Courgette Bread? :-) I'll have to use that.

I thought so. A country that is or was British territory, (with the exception of the prideful USA) or models British English uses colour or theatre, etc.
I had a Canadian teacher in 2nd grade and I learned all the spelling to only be punished next year when I had an American teacher. Wtf...I mean I spelled it correctly by someone's standard and who was she to presume I wasn't immigrating from British lands? hehehe.

I enjoy it when I meet people from various countries. I am glad to meet all of you. Thank goodness for internet.

The Human race will eventually, within the next few months, volunteer to retire those vegetables as a bad idea.

All the aliases I am seeing here is obviously some sort of underground railroad to secret these squashes out of harms way avoiding a violent genocide.
