I would have preferred a straight road bike, but the last (or first) third of my commute is through a wilderness reserve.
I call it "Gilda". Because I already have a love-hate relationship with it.
I love the thought of losing weight, being fitter, polluting less, getting to work in less time, and giving the finger to a city that hates anyone who doesn't drive a car.
But I hate exercise.
Walking and running is exercise -biking is getting some fresh weather while you take your time getting there

Plus -of course- it's bound to be easier to find a place to park a bike than it is finding a place to park a car

I just got a new (old'ish) Kildemoes 'Street' -perfect for my needs (even if I have to get the saddle up an inch or two) around town.
