Spent $14.50 on books at Goodwill and traded them at my local used bookstore for $49.50 in credit. Then bought a slew of mostly Trek used books - "slew" being around 25 or so. Good day.
Sesame oil, kosher salt, shrimp, milk, blueberries, etc. I made dinner and hubby made dessert for my parents, sister and nephew. It was my dad's 80th birthday. It was a great dinner, too.
lifting wrist straps and a valeo lift belt - the belt is a bit large because the site didn't have a sizing chart.
The movies are still spilt in 2 parts, each on their own BD disc... Great quality and the extra material is seamlessly added... I watched the 1st one last night and i really couldn't tell most of the added stuff from what hadn't been there when i saw it in the theather... The appendices are still on DVDs though...
I have the regular DVD extended edition (separate collector's editions) at home, been thinking about picking that up... I've actually had it on my Amazon auto notify now for like 2-3 years.
In Sovjet Russia, the camera buys you! I bought a Zenit TTL a few hours ago. Roughly 20€ and its basically brand new. Figured, I'd give analog photography a go as well.
Not exactly off-topic, more anti-topic, but I was just looking through my credit card transactions for the last month, and realised I hadn't bought anything apart from petrol, parking, and food (OK some of the latter includes cafe, restaurant and bar bills, but still). I don't think that's ever happened to me before! I wasn't even trying to cut back. Very weird. Maybe I've finally ascended to a higher spiritual plane?
I'm like that guy in TNG's Transfigurations. I know something is happening to me, but I don't know what or why... It's scary... there isn't even a travel agent to buy a ticket out of here from...
Hooray! I'm typing on one that I got very recently as a birthday present. I've wanted an iPad ever since they came out, but it seemed so extravagant that I didn't want to spend the money. My parents bought this for me though, and it pretty much hasn't left my side!
The Prisoner (Blu-ray) for only $25, on sale at Amazon this week. This was a total impulse buy. also Breaking Bad S3 (already seen it but want to own it) and Dragon Quest IV and VI for the Nintendo DS. I now own all the DQ games for that system. and A Dragon Quest T-Shirt from E-bay (King slime)
^ Darn, just when I was starting to really enjoy this planet. It's always Holdfast's fault. I got me a new phone for my Italian SIM, and am very happy with it. I decided to go for an Android (2.3 Gingerbread) this time. It's slightly more complicated than I expected in certain areas, but thoroughly enjoyable and quick as lightning. Add a 5Mp camera, a 512Mb Ram, SD memory upgradable to 32Gb, and b/g/n WiFi. All in one of the most compact phones I've seen in a good while! It's positively tiny compared to pretty much anything else! It's the HTC Wildfire S:
You'll be reassured to know that it's devilish hard to find a septet of trumpeters, so the 7th is staying locked for a good while yet.
The SuicideGirls coffee table book (got it dirt cheap, too!). I have to say, it's a bit bigger than what I thought it was going to be, but I am very pleased with it. 396 pages of full color photographs, no ads, no articles, no filler. Just beauty from edge to edge. Now I just need a coffee table to put under it.
