I love how you notice the costuming!I like most of those, but am really fond of Rope. Brilliantly executed and wonderfully theatrical (the costuming is also top-notch).
I always do anyway, but Rope's is genuinely worth highlighting.
Today's purchases: white roses, and dark chocolate biscuits. More of an earning than a spending sort of day...
I wish i could borrow you for a week, just to help me find decent clothes. I could use your eye.
...I decided to give the new Windows Phone 7 OS a go...
Love the prints! I think you need to post some photos of your home. I suspect it's quite interesting.Good God those are beyond hilariousThe nutty prints I mentioned upthread arrived today. Super secure packaging, fast shipping and the paintings themselves are good quality; very good seller if anyone else was thinking of buying.
So I went to the framing shop to get them framed. Their size is awkward enough that I opted to get the frames bespoke rather than squeeze them into standard frames that don't really suit in terms of size/colour. Neither the (non sci-fi fan) sales assistant nor I could stop giggling at the calculated lunacy of the subject matter. I got exactly the reaction from her that I hope to get from visitors when they first see them; a glance, then a double-take, followed by good-humoured laughter and WTF questions.![]()

Yeah, they're well funky.
I was thinking earlier today where to put them once they're back from the framers and think the Scout Trooper is going in the hall and Jar Jar and Jango Fett are going in the kitchen. The contrast to a print of Caravaggio's Card Sharps on another wall should be enough to bring a smile to anyone's face.![]()
Got the prints back from framing and hung them up. In the end I decided to put all three together, so the frame colours don't match exactly. But I think they still look better together than my initial plan of putting the Scout Trooper elsewhere.
Ever so slightly wonky, admittedly, but that's what you get trying to hang pictures without a plumb line or spirit level...

I just ordered some shoe trees. Now I need shoes.
^You mean... they don't grow on your new trees?![]()

I'm not sure what shoes to wear, however.
Pastels of most hues would work for shoes, so would neutrals including white, and even natural/light tan leather.

I don't have any pastels or neutrals. I was thinking I'd do some sort of neutral just because I don't buy a lot of shoes and would want versatility, but I have no idea what would go with my skintone. I just feel like white shoes or even ranging to tan look odd on me.
