Will Matt Smith appear? (possible spoilers)

Will Matt Smith be in "End of Time, Part 2"?

Prediction: The Doctor (Ten) will die and not regenerate. However, the DoctorDonna will regenerate into the Doctor (Eleven) played by Matt Smith.
I have to admit, as the week has worn on, I've found the idea of the Doctor dying and not regenerating more and more appealing. I can see that as something RTD would do, because it's a story that has never been done. No one has killed dead the Doctor. There is always a renewal. But what if, this time there's not?

Obviously, we have Smith to deal with. If there is a death, he has to come from somewhere.

Intuitively, I feel like there will be some sort of switcheroo to get from Tennant to Smith. Something non-traditional. Only I'm not sure what.

I'm pretty sure we'll see a regular regeneration scene. The interviews with RTD I've heard do heavily suggest that. He's very much rooted in the tradition of the show.

The item for the adventure calendar on the BBC Doctor Who website today is the first minute or so of the podcast commentary for EOT Part 2 with RTD and Julie Gardner. In it, they talk about how they wonder Matt Smith must be feeling today, and wondering whether he is having a little party as "he's the Doctor now, to see that ending go out". Think that pretty much confirms we will get a full regeneration scene at the end.

Frankly, the idea of the DoctorDonna regenerating into Matt Smith's Doctor came to me as a lark. Simply by asking what could possibly twist the whole regeneration trope and still allow RTD tell the story of the Doctor's death.

Moreover, I've always felt that Donna Noble was an ace in RTD's hole.

Whatever may come, I'm certain that it will be, as you put it, "something non-traditional."

We'll know for certain soon.
