Did the end credits for "Rubincon" indicate that we are now in summer 3196? That's my read on the "Class of 3196" anyway (since it wasn't just the kids included, so I don't think we can interpret that as their graduation year).
That is what I believe the intention was. So season 1 was 3195-3196. Season 2 will be 3196-3197.

If and it is sadly a very big if we ever see the cadets graduate they will be becoming ensigns in 3199 so the whole show will be in the 32nd century.

I watched it again, and it displayed "Starfleet Academy Graduating Class of 3196" at the beginning of the credits (before the photos). If that's accurate, the episode took place 3193 after the completion of the first year assuming it is still a four year program.

I think the intention is that it's about two years after the reopening of Starfleet Academy in Discovery season 4 with the reference to the third year cadets.

Agreed, pretty sure that was meant tongue-in-cheek. Otherwise some of the photos wouldn’t even make sense. Jay-Den obviously not showing a Klingon, for one thing. I thought it was awesome that they did that.

FWIW, end credits lists graduation class of 3196, they have only finished the first year.

Caleb gives the star date at the end of the first year in a voice over just before the end credits:

Just before they roll the credits.
Trekguy.org Stardate calculator converts it to: Mon Jul 20 3192 00:00:00 GMT-0700 (Pacific Daylight Time).
I'll throw in the end credits Rufus Wainwright song video from Youtube

Stardates havent lined up with the years on screen in the 32nd century so they're harder to take than they used to be. Also that stardate would have them graduating in 3195.
More than likely, at the end of episode 10 it is the late spring of 3193, the end of the freshman year. This assumes that the Academy is a 4-year system of education. Then the senior year would start fall of 3195 and end in the spring of 3196.

The credits are absolutely "out of continuity" for multiple reasons. As well as the photos being the actors instead of the characters, some of the quotes broke the fourth wall, like Reno complaining, "I come after the two voices?" (or words to that effect.)

I'd argue the credits are about as 'canon' as the commercial at the end of The Trouble With Edward. ;)

Calebs log entry gives stardate 869631.7 which puts us at August 19th 319(2)

I cancelled my P+ sub and only have a week left on it (NCIS Origins isnt enough reason to say subbed atm) so will try and complete the day-by-day breakdown before then.

Can I say? I kinda enjoy the mystery of it all. As a timeline geek, it's like a small scale version of trying to date the original series (based on its own references, not anything that came later) all over again.
