No, it's a movie where stuff blows up real cool.I'm still not entirely sure what Star Trek is. Is it that show with Space MacGyver and all the Egyptian stuff? I liked that one.

Now you just need something blue.
Oh wait you're a smurf. You're all set!
Actually, I thought I would stop there. I didn't really have too much of an interest in joining a BBS. But once you're registered, it becomes very easy to reply....^And you didn't stop there, didn't you?
Yes, Avatars can make quite an impression.I fiirst joined under the name Sheliak in March 2001. Didn't get much attention under that name so I changed to Miss Chicken in July of the same year. It is amazing that a change of name can make so much difference.
Or an avatar. No one knew who I was til thisstarted appearing beneath all of my posts.![]()

May 14 2002. Oh, the lost hours... I could have had a doctorate in something by now if I had spent that time studying something of use! More than one doctorate perhaps...
I do think playtime is important though, and this place is an excellent de-stress-er. Well, most of the time.![]()
^I'm at nearly 10,000 posts - it's scary. I wonder how long it would take someone to read them back to back, or how high the stack if they were printed on A4...? Not nearly as many as some, but since I have not been in the habit of game threads or the lounges, that seems like quite a lot of posts to me... having said all that, neither were any of these deeply reasoned nuggets of philosophy, unfortunately!

Oh yeah, Jim Wright's Delta Blues were so much fun! He made his synopses SO worth reading with hilarious color commentary. I keep meaning to save them all for later.(with the Wright reviews in there somewhere as well)
That was the year of Voyager's end and Enterprise's beginning. It was also a time when internet fandom was really broadening its appeal beyond the most computer literate into the realm of your everyday surfer. People were learning that it was okay to create a username and password, that you could have fun online interacting with people between standard, safe email and iffy, scary chat rooms. And there was still a little edge to keep things exciting. It was a great time to surf.Seems like 2001 was a good year.
