What Star Trek episodes or films have you been watching lately?

I seem to have a good amount of time on my hands lately. I just finished season 4 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

In between chores and work, casually watching a TNG marathon on BBC America. So far "Ensign Ro", "Silicon Avatar", "Disaster" and starting "The Game". Nothing really great but nothing really bad either. Looking forward to "Unification" later.

Hey, you've caught up with me.:bolian:

Last Night

Dawn
Stigma - Dr. Phlox's wife is hot!
Cease Fire - Andorian women, not so much... well, the woman was hot, but she was a total bitch
Future Tense

TNG 'Transfigurations' - just another episodes about humanoids 'evolving' into non-physical beings (Trek sure is obsessed with those! What's up with that, anyway? Why would anyone adapt to the environment by losing one's body?)

and then, the real thing... 'The Best of Both Worlds', part 1! :techman: What a cliffhanger. I can only imagine how people felt when they watched this not knowing for sure if Picard would come back the next year.

The latest Trek thing I watched was the DS9 episode Rocks and Shoals. Don't ask me why, but last night I suddenly had the urge to watch it. Probably because I think Vedek Yassim's "protest" is so shockingly brilliant.

If she hadn't jumped, I would have gladly tossed her over the railing. :p

Anyway, I've been watching nothing but football for the past month, and since that's all over now, I think I'll give in to my sudden Voyager craving.

Whew. Well, I finally bought the entire series of movies on DVD to replace my aging and nearly useless VHS copies. I bought the TOS movies as a six-movie set, the TNG movies in a three movie set (Generations, First Contact, and Insurrection). Combined with my copy of Nemesis and the new movie, I now have all of them....and I've been watching them in order of release. I'm almost done with Nemesis, and will then re-watch the new movie. It's been a fun month.

I'm itching to buy one of the series' seasons on DVD: I only have a few TNGs, a few DS9s, and one each from VOY, ENT, and TOS.

Ooh, and I saw "The Next Phase" on BBC America on Monday night. One of my favorite episodes, although I've never particularly liked Ro's conclusion about the experience.

My copy of Star Trek 2009 is waiting for me; and I'll probably be watching it this Saturday or Sunday...

Enterprise Xindi Arc Marathon: (Part ll):

5. Impulse
6. The Shipment
7. Twilight

Side Note:

I noticed two shots that were similar to First Contact in "Impulse". The worm's eye view face shot scene in the Vulcan medical bay. And the scene with the shuttle pod doing a fancy (weird turn) maneuver when it was going into the asteroid field.

As for Twilight: I really forgot how good this episode was.
Good popcorn fun!

TNG Peak Performance - Not bad although it seems to take forever for anything to happen. Possibly overdid it on the Riker worship, too.

TNG Shades of Gray - Oh dear God! I didn't expect much from this one, but it's bad even for a clip show.

Phew, Season 2 over! I'll admit that at times it was a real chore. At least I can start Season 3 now.

I just started TNG from the beginning. I haven't seen many of the episodes in well over a decade and I've started to read some of the old TNG series books and thought it'd be nice to "catch up". I'm about half-way through season one.

TNG Evolution - Ah, here's my TNG! It's not that this is a great episode or anything, but we've got the new opening credits and new uniforms. Things just feel a bit more slick and modern. Overall it's a nice enough episode - Wesley has one of his better outings and the presence of Ken Jenkins enhances things.

TNG:

The Ensigns of Command - good, solid episode. Picard proves that he's an intelligent badass.

The Survivors - OK, but having a character with such powers inevitably creates questions like "so why didn't he do x?"

Who Watches the Watchers? - Excellent. Not for everyone, but it's heartfelt and well acted.

I just started season six of TNG. The episode where they rescue Scotty, and the episode Schisms was this morning.
