What Star Trek episodes or films have you been watching lately?

Is There No Truth in Beauty?
They should just go ahead and change the name of the episode because everybody does this.

Everyone misremembers or misquotes the name of TOS episode "Is There in Truth No Beauty?" I'm dislexic and I never do that, or have known anyone who does that before now. I don't think they should change the name of the episode. I think people just need to try harder to get it strait. Or just don't tak about this episode.

I'm slowly working my way through all of Voyager while rearranging/cleaning out my bedroom. Nearly done with season 2. It's quite a task! (the cleaning...not Voyager, although some of these episodes are...painful)

Recently watched the first nine movies on TV (they never showed Nemesis for some reason, probably couldn't get the rights). Watched XI the other day.

I am working through Enterprise now for the first time as I never got to watch it (it was on pay tv and could never afford the DVD until they have been on sale) :) I am now near the end of the first season, it is good, but not my favourite. T'Pol is a great character, but I generally dislike the way they portray Vulcans - silly humans.

Been catching the TNG re-runs on BBC America. Just caught "Darmok" this morning. What a good episode! It was the one that made me a TNG fan.

Yes, Darmok is a good one.

I've been going through the first season of Enterprise. Just watched Fallen Hero and Desert Crossing this evening. I loved Fallen Hero. Good showcase for Jolene Blalock's acting, and the opening is absolutely hilarious.

Saw Chain of Command, pt 2 today on SciFi channel... (yes, it seems it's still called that in this part of the world...) Really brilliant, every scene and line between Picard and Madred is pure gold. I remembered it for their great mind games, psychological portrayal of the torturer, and the commentary on torture (useless as a means of extracting information, as Picard notes, but very effective as a means of breaking one's spirit), but this time I was reminded of just how much backstory about Cardassia this episode contained. Much as I love DS9, I must say I was struck on how little it ever elaborated on that. I don't remember the Hebitians ever even being mentioned again (until the literature), and Chain of Command makes it seem that the military rule on Cardassia is relatively recent (though it is never made specific when it started)... I didn't quite get that impression from DS9, and the past when Cardassians were 'deeply spiritual people' is never mentioned again.

I recently completed my DVD collection of all 6 series and 11 movies, with my purchase of TAS. I've been watching that lately. Many of the eps for the first time. I enjoyed 'How Sharper Than A Serpents Tooth' and 'The Time Trap' a lot.

BTW, do you guys watch Trek seasons in order, on DVD, or do you pull out a random episode you feel like watching, like me? ;)

Sometimes I will be in the mood for a binge watch of a seasons worth of eps, sometimes I will have a random selection. DS9 works well for marathons. As does some of Voyager and ENT. TNG and TOS are mostly standalone, so I don't usually bother having epic marathon sessions of them.

Season 7 of DS9.

I am watching it for probably the fourth time. It is my favorite season of any trek series. The cast was perfect and I love the subtle humor.

Bring this kind of trek back!!!:bolian:

Agreed 100 per cent. I miss the black humour of DS9. We need this kind of Trek back.

Star Trek: Nemesis shows up quite a bit on American Movie Classics (AMC) or you can usually pick it up for between $5.00 and $7.50 at your local Wal-Mart.

Edit: Nevermind. Missed that you're located in the UK.

Watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country yesterday on Blu-ray.

I have been watching TOS episodes in production order. It is interesting to see how the show evolved during the early episodes. I am up to "Dagger of the Mind", which I dread watching because it's not one of my favorites (too disturbing).

The Wrath of Khan - I really like the universe the TOS films create. Far more fleshed-out than the TV series, but grittier than the post-1987 shows where technology can do anything.

I also like Mr Saavik a lot - they did a good job of introducing a new crewmember, which could have been disastrous.

mostly i've been watching random TOS episodes. That Which Survives, Requiem for Methuselah and a few others i haven't seen in a long time.
