What properties or shows are you surprised nobody has rebooted?

It's been decades since saw it but wasn't there some kind of other Leapers in the final season, that wanted to stop Beckett? It is just a hazy memory.

They did pick up personal storylines from time to time, especially with Al but in general it really was the quintessential episodic show but i also wouldn't mind a rework of the concept.

Yes there was the evil leeper but she appeared in the middle seasons.

Yeah, there was a female evil leaper, who even had her own female Al style hologram, who popped up two or three times. But it was just her and Sam, in the series finale Sam showed up in a bar that was filled with a whole bunch of leapers, and the guy who owned the place Al, not Sam's Al, was implied to be God, or whoever was in charge of the leaps.

I would love some kind of Farscape reboot. The universe is brilliant IMHO. B5 too

it would need to keep the puppets and just let the Jim Henson Company go wild with creating new aliens. I do get the impression that they would love to do more with that universe if given the chance.

At last year's digital SDCC, they did a Farscape panel, and they said they are working on some kind of revival. Not sure how far along they are or if anything more has been said about it since then though.

I feel like we're due for a Hitchhiker's Guide TV series -- I like the movie well enough (very different from the books but still entertaining), and the late 70's-early 80's miniseries is good, but it's been about 40 years. Dirk Gently didn't do super well though, so I can imagine it might be a little bit of a tough sell, but it is a pretty well-known property at least among the nerdier set.

Great concept, do multi-part arcs, 2-4 eps so they can really take in each alternate world. Also ditch the gimmick where the timer gets stolen or misplaced in order to create false tension. It quickly became tiresome and predictable since you knew they were going to retrieve it. Maybe the team shifts independent of the timer, the timer just tells them how long they have before that happens. Also, never introduce that Cro-Mag bullshit.

I’d love to see a reboot of Crime Story. The original took place in late 50s Chicago and early 60’s Las Vegas. I think the timeline could be moved up to the mid 70s, when the Mafia was still very powerful in New York and Chicago and still running Vegas. Music and cars were always a big part of the original show, and the 70s had their share of great music and cars that would work in a reboot.

The Highlander concept seems like a no brainer to reboot.
A decent Knightrider reboot would be good. Not enthusiastic about the proposed reboot with the Rock and fast and furious director.

I think that as long as you stick to doing stories about what the world would be like if history went in a slightly different direction, you're good. When they did episodes like the one with magic and dragons it completely lost the concept and became ridiculous.

Earth: Final Conflict would be a good one. An alien race that keeps humanity subservient by satiating them with new technology probably speaks more to modern society than it did in the mid-90s. Also streaming shows have more leniency with slow burn storytelling, so a new series could easily maintain the cerebral nature of season one.

And on a completely unrelated matter, I've always thought Otherworld would totally work as a reboot - with relatively little rewriting, it'd easily fit into the Stargate SG-1 universe.

I agree. The first two seasons are the best. They sort of returned to the spirit of those seasons in season 4 but by then they had lost Wade and Arturo and had no budget and were trying to make the Krommags a thing and did the twist were Quinn had been from another world and it was all a excuse really to cast the actors brother on the show. So it was better than season 3 but still not the glory days of the show. Didn't help they sent Wade to a rape camp just because the shows show runner thought it would be a funny joke. Never forgot that interview I read. Really sick stuff.

I'd actually love to see a second try at a Jules Vernes series like the Secret Adventures of Jules Vernes. It only lasted one season, but it was a fun show that posited that he himself had experienced all the adventures he'd written. So much potential in a Steampunk series, and I believe there's more interest in Steampunk now than when it was first created.

I thought of another one, to go along with Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, My Favorite Martian. I know they did the movie with Jeff Bridges and Christopher Lloyd, but even that was over 20 years ago.
Now they could really have fun, and go crazy with "Uncle Martin"'s powers.

Chad Stahelski, one of the John Wick directors, has been working on it for awhile now. I think it was last summer he said they had multiple scripts done for the new franchise and we're trying to tweak them all to work together better.

I just hope Ryan Reynolds is no longer playing Connor...
