Funny because Denise Crosby (and Tasha Yar for that matter) isn't a real blond without it being dyed. Her nature hair color, based on her roots, is brunette. The blond wig in the Romulan haircut make her look goofy
Shinzon ran the whole Empire and he was about 21 and fully human. Romulans are impressed when you kill a lot of important people so maybe Sela was better at that than she appeared.

She didn't really work for me. The blond wig in the Romulan haircut make her look goofy and Denise Crosby overplayed her, IMO. I honestly wish they'd left well enough alone and let "Yesterday's Enterprise" be the end of Tasha Yar's story.
Did Star Trek ever have an evil brunette?
Off the top of my head, Ardra?
- While Seasons 1-2 of Discovery take place in the Prime timeline, Seasons 3-4 don't. When they traveled to the future they got caught up in some Temporal War nonsense where the Federation has dissolved.
Oooh forgot about her TNG The Devil's Due, good episode but didn't think she was a brunette.

Some examples of brunette villains...
"CATSPAW" - Sylvia
"THE ENTERPRISE INCIDENT" - Romulan Commander
"THAT WHICH SURVIVES" - 'Losira'
"Contagion" - Subcommander Taris
"Devil's Due" - Ardra
"Face Of The Enemy" - Commander Tareth
"Gambit" two-parter - Tallera
Only listed TOS and TNG... but there have definitely been brunette villains in the franchise.
I'll never forgive them for putting a stupid funny forehead on that beautiful woman.
