What games are you playing currently?

Anything Life is Strange is good.
Looking forward to the new one in the LiS universe.

I enjoyed the Lis Strange series and I'm planning on trying Captain Spirit next week.

I'm also looking at the steam sale and Binary Domain looks like a possible (but then so do the XCOM games and a bunch of others that I probably won't find time to complete).

Oh definte

Definitely go for XCOM! I love XCOM.
To the point where I started doing my own let’s plays for that game. :)

OK I finished the first of the stories in What Remains Of Edith Finch and wow it's a weird yet very fun little game, that first story was weird. Am enjoying this kind of game and I think walking simulators might be my newest favourite thing.

I blame Gone Home for this because I got totally sucked into that game and loved every minute.

Thanks @kirk55555 I have What Remains Of Edith Finch and it's fantastic. It's just like Gone Home but better. I am really enjoying it.

Only there is an achievement for taking the other path to the house and usually with games like this I like to jump ahead but went down that other path but the way seemed blocked and I had to reverse direction and take the default path.

I played through the game once normally, then a second time to finish up the trophies (I played on ps4) and taking the second path in my second playthrough worked for me.

Edith Finch is weird, but for me its a great kind of weird, and it really has a lot of heart. I'm glad you're liking it, it just gets more fantastical as you go. Its quite a ride.

Assassins Creed Origins. It's fun to play but the overall story isn't very interesting. They've really dropped the ball on the present day story segment.

Played some Pokemon Go earlier along with some Pokemon Crystal. Just picked up Final Fantasy Explorers and started to play it. Really like it so far.

I am currently playing The Last of Us 2, I really love this type of genre and I can't wait to play Resident Evil 2 next year.

I just played The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit which has been released on Steam for free.
It‘s set in the world of Life is Strange and is sort of a prelude to LiS 2 coming out in September.
I clearly have not enough LiS in my life!

In case you were wondering... yes, I totally recorded the entire thing and put it on YouTube!

Enjoy!

Planning on downloading that myself tonight. I'll try and get round to playing it this week too:)

I finally got Metroid: Samus Returns. At first, I didn't know what to think of the melee counter, but it's grown on me and the game doesn't feel as claustrophobic as the SR388 from the Game Boy Metroid II: Return of Samus

Just brought the X Box Pass and have been downloading a fair few games...

Trying to get a friend to play Gears 1 Remake online co-op because I never really played that franchise and thanks to X Box Pass I can smash the entire franchise.

I think you've got your games mixed up there, The Last of Us Part 2 doesn't even have a release date, and I'm pretty sure they haven't finished working on it yet.

I just finished up Far Cry 5 and it's a good game but it's a shame the storyline didn't quite hit as hard as I think it could've with more tuning. I found it cathartic in dealing with the current political climate but I think it could've been a gut punch but I'm not sure they wanted to go that far with it.

I beat Joe Seed too quickly which I shouldn't have because it left the fields a bit dry and empty but I found when you're not being kidnapped every ten minutes that's when the details that went into the Americana really started to shine.

I'd like to give it another run sometime because I didn't really get some of the mechanics and using the companions until too late.

I just finished What Remains Of Edith Finch and that was more fun then I had thought it would be. I have 8 of the 9 achievements for the game, the "great owl" one is a hard one to get where you are an owl and have to swoop onto two rabbits and eat them.

I'll try again now that I have unlocked the story replay option. But yeah good game and I'll also try the other path in the story with Lewis. I didn't realize till in that part of the game that there was a branching choice.

Do the Finch's have the ability to reshape the world around them? I got that impression, and that maybe was the family curse.

Started Gears 1 (on X Box Pass) and it seems ok but clearly dated in some of the mechanics. The story is little above that of something Michael Bay would write but this game isn't about that, it's just run n gun to waste some hours. I don't understand why the game would have such slow cumbersome grenades that leaves you way open for damage while you need to spin the fuckers around before you throw. Also the Friendly AI is exactly what you'd expect from a 2006 game --- :brickwall::censored::brickwall: I don't know why serious improvements weren't made for the remastered edition.

I think I would enjoy it more with co-op but the friend I wanted to play with is addicted to Fortnite and my other friends either don't own an X Box (or the pass) or a too busy doing grown up things in the real world :shifty:

Still plugging away on Fallout 4, what I said previously about not enjoying it as much as 3 or New Vegas is still proving to be true.

Got Horizon Zero Dawn for cheap due to a pricing error the other day, so may take a break from Fallout for a bit to give that a try, and also thanks to the walking simulator discussion above, I got Firewatch as it was cheap on the PS Store (£3.99), and I remember thinking it looked interesting back when it came out.
