What games are you playing currently?

I'm playing Thief since it's December's Games with Gold giveaway, which is awesome. The game involves sneaking, and stealing, without major violence of any kind (so far). I love those types of games.

I uninstalled the Halo Master Chief Collection because I found out that:

A) On the Xbox One, all games are installed to the hard drive! I have a 500GB drive, and each Xbox One game file size averages anywhere between 15 and 50 GB each.

B) I couldn't justify using 65GB of precious HDD space for a game I played only a few times (I didn't get into Halo 1,2, or 3), and you can't install one Halo without installing them all.

I'm hoping more Xbox 360 games become backwards compatible, as I had a large library of digital games. The plus side is that since they're much smaller, I can easily hold all of them on this 500 GB drive and still have room for a number of Xbox One games, that is if they are made compatible.

Still, it looks like I won't be building a large collection of games, unless I plan on buying a massive external drive, so I'll just have to be careful.
the Xbox360 games also have to be installed, they're a lot smaller but still take up space. My recommendation if just allow it to fill up and remove games A) when your done with them. B) when you need the space. You can always download again or install again.

Also if you go to xbox.com store online you van get this months Xbox 360 games with gold and they will be backwards compatible and appear on your download list to grab whenever you like.

Oh, indeed. Even with all of my Xbox 360 digital games, though, the size wouldn't exceed 150 GB of usage, and I'd have my entire 360 digital library (though I doubt they'll get around to making all of those compatible). One of my family members asked me why I'd want to put all those 360 games on my new Xbox One, and I told him that graphics aren't as important to me as gameplay. Plus, I still think 360 games look amazing!

Sometime in the future, I hope to buy a 2TB external drive, and then I just won't worry about it after that.

Kathy bought be a 1tb Xbox one for Christmas and that's already 45% full. She also got me the 500gb which after the warranty was up I stuck a 1tb hard drive in to. There's no doubt you need huge amounts of space but I tend to install, leave until complete or I'm finished with, then uninstall.

When I play games I flit about. I might play 9 or 10 games all at once, because I play when the mood strikes me and for whatever genre tickles my fancy. On the Xbox 360 this wasn't a problem.

I had 60+ titles (counting the digital games) then, and always had something to enjoy. I can't play just one kind of game until I complete it, as I don't have time to play a game to completion without losing interest because it takes months for me to do because of time constraints.

So this is new for me, this idea that a large library is highly detrimental to my game playing. I want to build a large library, but the idea of installing/uninstalling over and over again just to fit new games on, it reminds me of floppy disk switching. "Oh, you need to run this program? Pull out the OS disk, insert the program disk, wait until installation, remove program disk, install OS disk. Resume."

That really feels like a step backward.

I am in the process of debate over The Witcher. It's on GOG now and they sell DRM free so it's kind of tempting. Come to think of it the original disk I had before I lost it was also DRM free by the look of it till I lost the disk. CD Projekt don't believe in DRM or are they just fun people?

Going off what I've heard, they're not big on the DRM and they tend to do more free DLC's than other people.

As for Witcher 1, I'm not having that much fun with it so far, but I'm going to keep trying. For me, I don't think much of the combat but various websites say it improves in the latter games?

Playing Dark Souls II for the first time. My only real experience with Souls(ish) games is Bloodborne, which makes for an interesting set of mental adjustments.

Ran into this on my Wii U a bit. One of my games, Xenoblade Chronicles X takes up 16gb of space. Almost the entire drive. And even after I moved some of the other games over, I'm still short of space . So onto playing through it so I can remove it off to free up space again. Not that it's a bad thing, it's a good game... it's just BIG.

Definitely. I'm not a fan of it. Glad I have decent internet, since it's a bit of a pain installing a game every so often. It's not impossible, but it takes up time.

Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I tried Fallout 4, but the controls are soooo tedious for me I just couldn't stand it and gave up. Biggest waste of $50 I've made in a long time. :( The funky mouse pointer, the inability to have more than one key linked to a single action (I like to use both Q and A, and E and D to strafe/turn in games that force you to use the mouse to look where you're going, for example), and having to fight with the character to get them to go where you want them to go all drive me nuts. As does the off-center third-person perspective.

A real pity, because I like the idea of the game, the flavor is awesome, and the open sandbox nature is great.

HALO 5 BECAUSE LOOK WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS!

:techman:

I think Mad Max is one of my favorite games of the year. A little bit Grand Theft Auto, a little bit Fallout 4.

I have gone bonkers. I have a 2tb hard drive as my main PC drive and have filled it with steam games. I have 73 in my library and have reinstalled 14 of them, which amounts to 120gig so far. I am trying to resist the urge to reinstall more games because frankly a lot of stuff I have bought is stuff I consider crap.

The final installment of Arkham Knight's Season Pass became available recently, and I decided to start playing it today.

It's actually got some new missions and villains that we haven't seen in a while, and it's taking significantly more time than the other Season Pass stories, which were somewhat disappointing, mostly because they could all be beaten in about 15 minutes.

Looking into the unreal engine and the === unity configurations.. :)

what is better? what is the same...

I am needing a decent game engine for rendering things with leaptech spinnings.. ---

I've been playing Bravely Default. Its a pretty decent JRPG so far. i like the job system, and the Brave/Default system is interesting. The micro transactions are inexcusable in any big release in my opinion, especially a full price, single player JRPG, but so far they seem to be unnecessary (and reviews seem to agree that you never actually need the microtransaction item). The story isn't as good (one of the main characters named Agnes in particular is super irritating), but its ok.

Hit 100% on Lego The Lord of the Rings the other night, but still have a couple of achievements left to unlock before I'm completely finished with it.

This is the second time I've played that game all the way through, first time was on the Wii, this time it was on my xbox 360.

I have been playin' the first Bioshock all afternoon...not sure how much more I have left to do with that game, though. There doesn't seem to be a percentage...

A few months ago a game on steam i had bought a few years ago and never got round to actually playing, got some major updates, steam trophy's, jopypad support, widescreen, 1080p/4k support, steam cloud support, as well as other ongoing patches since then.

That game was Star Wars KOTOR II, The sith lords, and i am really enjoying it, i remember playing the first on the original xbox, but these updates have really made the game so much more enjoyable, playing it in big picture mode with the joypad on the big tv while on the couch is fantastic.

Hm...
My Steam folder takes up 240GB of 460GB of space, 41 of 272 games installed...
I do have a bunch of "indie" games that don't take up much space...

I just can't play the Lego games that much. I loved their original Lego Star Wars, but the more games they make, the more tedious they get. I couldn't imagine playing one of them TWICE!
