What games are you playing currently?

^^^Yeah, Syndicate was amazing, and Oddyssey i have sitting in my backlog, which i will get round to playing possibly in 2025 god willing. lol

I don't know if anyone here has played these but I just tried Bright Memory and Chorus, the latter a space shooter and I've never done one of those and so far fun, although the tutorial mission doesn't explain some items well so you learn more by doing.

Bright Memory looks like a game by a studio but it was made by one guy, just one guy in Unreal Engine.

Skyward Sword. After spending so many hours playing Breath of the Wild, this one is rather frustrating as the controls don't feel intuitive, and the way Link moves is different and I keep ending up accidentally jumping off of ledges. :scream:

I abandoned Chorus while fun it's got some weird difficulty spikes, some missions are super easy and others take more then several attempts to succeed, "save the refugee ships at the hypergate" I'm looking at you, that mission was a PITA and then when you go back to other sectors the difficulty ramps down again and then back up for no reason. The story is good the graphics are good, the gameplay just sucks a bit. I'd have stuck with it if not for that refugee mission.

Finished up Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Fun, with a very good story. Hopefully, we get to see more of Merrin in Jedi Survivor.

got stuck spending days on-call on a work project with nothing to play due to restrictions but the old Travian civilization building game. it was the only thing not blocked on that laptop for some reason.

so.. a crapload of Travian. had not played it in well over a decade. I didn't know it was still around.

I platinumed Horizon Forbidden West. Now, comes the waiting game for Horizon 3... :(

Now I'm torn. I don't know if I want to try God of War again, or Far Cry 6. Or I also have Alan Wake Remastered I haven't played. Or I could replay Ghost of Tsushima on PS5...

I tried Elden Ring again last night and died in the same spot. Then I respawned and tried it again, got a little past the same spot, then all of a sudden none of my attacks or dodges would work

Play Ghost Of Tushima again that's a great game. Far Cry 6 is fun but disappointing

I'm most likely going to replay Ghost of Tsushima. Before, though, as kind of an open world palette cleanser, I'm playing Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated :)

After some time, I just finished the Original Mass Effect Trilogy (ie the non-remastered ones). The first game was had a compelling story, but the gameplay was incredibly janky, bordering on Eurojanky. I can understand why it was altered in the Legendary Edition. The second focused more on combat, and it was more enjoyable to play if a bit too straightforward. The story wasn't as good, and I found the concept of the final boss kinda comedic. That being said it was probably my favorite, if only for the characters featured in your squad and the quests you went on. The third game took me the longest to complete, mostly because it had the weakest story and the gameplay wasn't too different from Mass Effect 2. Also a lot of the quests just weren't as compelling as the second game. I also got what I suppose is the most ideal ending, but the last few sections of the game felt disjointed from the main narrative in a way I can't really articulate. It wasn't as bad an ending as I had hoped, as I was told the endings were really awful by people who had played the game before. However, I feel the endings (especially the one I chose) do go down some rabbit holes that maybe they didn't need to go, or at least not go down so quickly. Also, if they are going to continue this story in the next Mass Effect game, I think they're going to have to retcon those endings, as they all seem to write the Mass Effect universe into corners that I don't think lend themselves well to new stories.

The 3 choices ending of Mass Effect three is nowhere near as bad as people like to think it is, just that a hive mind sets in when big name people started jerking off to criticize it because it wasn't what they wanted it to be and then everyone else joined in and also jerked off to them because they were famous youtubers sticking it to EA and Bioware....

All three games in the series are great and I prefer ME 2 and 3, 1 really didn't grab me that much even after multiple plays of it. I liked ME 3 and the whole cataclysmic nature of it even if it was a bit disjointed in parts.

been on a long term assignment out of town and boredom kicked in. finally found a local gamestop, bought a switch and the Ezio collection. Replaying AC2. Grazi.

Been playing VirtuaVerse on the side, which is a really cool cyberbpunk point-n-click adventure game. The soundtrack is great, and there are lots of references to the 80's. It's quite immersive and atmospheric for an adventure game.

I just started Subnautica for the first time. Still in that totally lost phase where blindly collecting resources and trying to not die due to limited resources feels very stressful.

GTA SA. Reminds me of playing it during a heatwave in 2006.
