What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Everything other than TOS, TNG, DS9 and the first six movies should be deleted from canon.

"Fury" of Voyager is an underrated episode. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kes might've deserved a better send-off, but this episode also has valid points and fun time-traveling quandaries. It shows how the passage of time can sour even the fondest memories and turn one against one's closest allies. The script is, in a way, a tribute to the vagabond, the solitary and the aging, whom uniformed memebers of society forget and neglect.

Some opinions that come to mind:

Star Trek IV, while not bad, is extremely overrated.

Star Trek Beyond is excellent, easily both the best Kelvinverse movie and the best Trek movie since First Contact. Its tone/style is what the Kelvinverse should have been from the beginning

Star Trek Into Darkness is "so bad its good". Its objectively terrible in many ways, and as someone who considers TWOK to be not just their favorite Trek film but their favorite film period I should hate it, but I find it unintentionally hilarious and enjoy Cumberbatch in it (even if they really, really shouldn't have whitewashed Khan).

Star Trek Insurrection is the worst non-reboot film, TFF and TMP are nowhere near as bad.

Star Trek 2009 is the worst piece of official media with the Star Trek name slapped on it.

Enterprise had some really good episodes to go along with the shit, and Season 4 is actually kind of overrated.

I probably have more, but this is what comes to mind immediately.

Too much Star Trek has been made. I wish there was less of it.

The special effects in the late seasons of TNG are better than Discovery's effects.

Jonathan Frakes is not good a director and shouldn't be directing any ST.

I've come to have similar feelings about Discovery. There are absolutely some unintentionally funny moments in it.
