What are the abbreviations for shows?

Tribblesonmars

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
For example tos, voy
I already know most of them, but I can't seem to figure out if there's an abbreviation for the Kelvin timeline films? I know this seems pretty basic but I'm a relatively new Trekkie.
On a related note, what series is tas?
(Sorry if this is in the wrong place or has been discussed before!)

TOS - The Original Series (Or Those Old Scientists if you prefer)
TAS - Animated
TNG - Next Gen
DS9 - DS9 ;)
VOY - Voyager
ENT - Enterprise
KEL - Kelvin
DSC - Discovery
PIC - Picard
SNW - Strange New Worlds
PRO - Prodigy
LDS - Lower Decks
SFA - Starfleet Academy

Glad to have another new Trek fan. :)

Thank you, I also go with KEL.
Alternative abbreviations include VGR for Voyager, DIS for Discovery and LD for Lower Decks.

Additional ones:
ST – Short Treks (let’s forget about vST…)
S31 – Section 31
SCO – Scouts

Would Legacy be LEG or LGY?

If it happens: LGY.

LEG looks silly. But, then again, I think the same about LDS. I abbreviate Lower Decks as LD.

I abbreviate Phase II as PH2. Not that I get to use that abbreviation very often.

With Star Trek: Khan, I decided, "The Hell with it. I'm not bothering with an abbreviation! I'm just going with KHAN."

I'm in the "LD" camp on Lower Decks. And I still refer to the splinter timeline created when Nero got thrown back into the Geordie Kirk era as the "Abramsverse."

In addition, Bjo Trimble's Star Trek Concordance gave symbols for individual TOS and TAS episodes. Some of which unfortunately changed from one edition to another (which is something I never expected, and didn't know about until only a few minutes ago).

I use DSC for Discovery. "Disco" informally.

For anything from 2009 onward, I call it "New Trek" not "NuTrek". Whenever I see it spelled "NuTrek", all I can think of is "nu-metal". No thanks.

If Skydance goes in a different direction, I might stop calling everything from the Abrams Era and the Kurtzman Era "New Trek". It depends on how different whatever comes afterwards is. Right now, I'm just thinking out loud.
