Nimoy looked good in the movies and even in portrait pics. I think it’s partly the long, angular shape of his face. Helps for Vulcans to look devilish.

My Dad was always amazed at how much abuse Spock could take and still not have a hair out of place. I mean, you could jerk a cap off of his head, as they did in "Bread and Circuses"... not a hair mussed up. The only time I recall his hair mussed was in "The Apple" after a severe windstorm.

What kind of hair spray did he use???

The guy had his frigging BRAIN replaced by McCoy and still had his hair perfectly assembled and styled.
