Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

I am sad that WB/DC isn't including Legion of Superheroes! :(

Given their track record so far...I'm happy that TPTB are steering clear of the Legion.

Yeah, she's basically just got a great tan.

Or a really bad one....

Take over the whole shebang? That's a tall order unless Affleck wants to set aside acting for some time (beyond the Batman/Wayne role).
Affleck is a comic nerd. He might actually want to do that. Nolan showed that one can make "quality" movies while still doing a franchise gig.

I don't doubt his ability to do something decent, even very good, if he takes on the project. Was just speculating on whether he'd want to have such a narrow focus, which would severely curtail his acting opportunities.

I do have to wonder if they're bringing in Affleck because they hope he can help counter some of Snyder's weaknesses.

^^
Big studios like to stake out dates far in advance these days, and shifting stuff around is also common.
Though I'm sure some clickbait rumormongers will still find a way to spin it into "DC in trouble, panic at WB!" headlines...

Probably yeah.
Now we have another Faraci rumor going around. After the whole Suicide Squad thing, and pretty much everything I've heard about hims since, I have to wonder why anybody takes anything he says seriously.

There's] now a rumor going around that Zach Stentz, who worked on scripts for Thor, X-Men: First Class, and the new Power Rangers movie, and also wrote Tuesday's The Flash is also working on a Booster Gold movie, which will be directed by Greg Berlanti. This is another Faraci rumor, but it does have a second source in Cleats and Capes' Christopher Rodriguez, so there's a chance it might be at least a bit more likely than other Faraci rumors. I've been wanting Berlanti to get involved with the movies, so I really want this to be true.

Sounds cool if true. It'd be even better if they make it a team-up movie with Blue Beetle.

From what I've read, it was originally planned to be just that, but now it seems they've dropped Blue Beetle. If the rumors are (or ever were) accurate, that is.

They could always just be saving Blue Beetle for a possible sequel, like Deadpool appears to be doing with Cable. Or maybe they'll even give Jaime or Ted his own movie before doing a team-up flick.

Glad to hear it's true. Hearing this almost makes me think my dream of Berlanti taking over the movie is not totally ridiculous any more. I would love to see this be set in the Arrowverse, but I know there is almost no chance of that.

Parallel universes are well-established. If they really wanted, they could engineer a "mega-crossover". But I doubt it'll be anytime soon.

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that DC is considering doing a female ensemble movie produced by Margot Robbie and featuring her Harley Quinn. There's a possibility it might feature Batgirl & The Birds of Prey, but nothing is known for sure. (Link to the CBR article) Robbie actually approached DC with the idea and they were all for it.
I would find it kind of funny if they actually managed to get this out before Capt. Marvel in 2019. If that happens then DC will have done two women led movies before Marvel had one, and in a about a 3rd the time.
