I don't disagree, but it wasn't hard. Bats mostly jumps out of the way a lot (understandably so) and Superman takes off for a while to chat with Lois.she stole the Doomsday fight.
I imagine the fresh memory of a less fearsome Kryptonian, already an extinction level threat, might have motivated the powers that be to invoke the nuclear option sooner rather than later.I don't disagree, but it wasn't hard. Why was "America" so quick to nuke the fight anyway? Superman was sort of winning, taking Doomsday off into space until they blew his shit up. Whoever OK'd that nuke is a grade-A chooch.

Probably the same circle of people who thought it was a good idea to nuke NYC in Avengers.I don't disagree, but it wasn't hard. Bats mostly jumps out of the way a lot (understandably so) and Superman takes off for a while to chat with Lois.

To be fair, those guys were being manipulated by Hydra.
Because Zack Snyder doesn't truck with the wimps who don't want Batman to be prison-raped and Superman nuked in their comic-book entertainments.
Why would WB entrust him with the vision of their movie universe?!?!?! How can anyone defend his vision of Superman when he clearly has zero love for the character and what he represents. This is totally baffling.
^^
I can get behind the idea they're making money, it's the only reason they do this, really.
But they could actually get MORE if they, I dunno, maybe hired someone that was passionate about the characters and could at least figure out what makes the characters as loved as they are and build from that.
Sure, but that's how rational human beings think. We're talking about movie studio executives.
To be fair, those guys were being manipulated by Hydra. Although, who knows, maybe Lex had a plant in the military, too.
Wait. Is that link for real? Not an April fools thing?

That article is flat out lying and misrepresenting his words in order to discredit him.
Not liking Snyder's films is fine, but these manipulative attempts to discredit him I find absolutely disgusting.
I would say read the original interview for the context of what he was talking about, but what's the point?
Are any of you even remotely willing to accept any point of view that doesn't think Zack Snyder is the personification of Satan who hates Superman?

The article paints him even worse in his superficial ways and proud of how dark he can take his "heroes". Please. Tell us the proper context for him admitting he didn't get superhero comics when he said ”No one is having sex or killing each other. This isn’t really doing it for me.”
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: First 300, now Watchmen — have you always been a comics fan?
ZACK SNYDER: I came to comic books through my mother. I loved fantasy art — I love Frank Frazetta [the famed illustrator known for adult-oriented, sword-and-sorcery, and sci-fi imagery]. I went to boarding school. You weren’t allowed too many posters up, and everything I set up was slightly inappropriate. Frazetta’s naked girls, ripped up guys — the kids were like, ”What the hell?!” They had their Boy George posters up, I had crazy Frazetta. My mother saw I was into this comic called Heavy Metal magazine, so she got me a subscription. You could call it ”high-brow” comics, but to me, that comic book was just pretty sexy! I had a buddy who tried getting me into ”normal” comic books, but I was all like, ”No one is having sex or killing each other. This isn’t really doing it for me.” I was a little broken, that way. So when Watchmen came along, I was, ”This is more my scene.”
