Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

As I've enjoyed MoS and BvS to a considerable degree, I don't see why I wouldn't enjoy the rest of the DC movies. Of course, YMMV.

Batgirl and the Birds of Prey were my first thoughts too when I heard about the Harley solo movie.

If this happens, that means Robbie and Jena Malone.

But will it be any good?

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that DC is considering doing a female ensemble movie produced by Margot Robbie and featuring her Harley Quinn. There's a possibility it might feature Batgirl & The Birds of Prey, but nothing is known for sure. (Link to the CBR article) Robbie actually approached DC with the idea and they were all for it.
I would find it kind of funny if they actually managed to get this out before Capt. Marvel in 2019. If that happens then DC will have done two women led movies before Marvel had one, and in a about a 3rd the time.

Hey spoiler! -- Harley Quinn apparently does not die in Suicide Squad! (Based on the above news)

^ There's lots of Harley/Batgirl stuff out there but yeah, I thought of Poison Ivy and Catwoman. This would be a good opportunity to bring them in.

Birds of Prey or Gotham City Sirens!

The articles are all talking about Birds of Prey, but since it's Harley my first thought was Gotham City Sirens. Although they could always do a movie with the Birds of Prey working against the Sirens, or maybe even some kind of mashup of the two groups.

Are we expecting a hefty body count for SS?

Well, that's pretty much the core premise of the concept, as the title indicates. Maybe not a huge body count in any one story, but squad members dying was a core plot element in the comic, so I gather. I'm sure Harley and Deadshot are guaranteed to survive, and probably Rick Flagg, but one or more of the minor players are probably sacrificial victims. (Hopefully not Katana.)

Yeah, that's the whole premise, it's the dirty dozen. But I think they'll save the cooler characters & just kill off the 'redshirts' of the group. I seriously doubt HQ will die, that'd be a terrible decision. Then again, this is WB.

El Diablo and Slipknot for sure - Slipknot's gotten virtually nothing in the previews/trailers, and while El Diablo had some really fun moments in the "Blitz" trailer he'll probably be the one we're sad to see go. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Croc and Enchantress die. I'd like Jai Courtney's Boomerang to die, but because it's Jai Courtney.

I think Harley, Deadshot, and Flagg are guaranteed to survive. Katana could go either way.
